Momentum K9 Dog Training

I had tried a few other trainers before going to Ben. My GSD was unmanageable, anxious, and slightly aggressive. All other trainers felt like they were giving me a run around or training I could’ve received from a YouTube video. I can say with full confidence that Ben has turned my dog’s life around. The training he gave her and I has transformed our relationship and we can work together rather than her against me. She’s far more comfortable around new people and dogs compared to how she use to be and listens to commands incredibly well. I will say that I trained with Ben years ago, but this is a testament to how impactful his training has been for a dog that I once lost faith in.

We have a Swiss Shepherd with noise phobia, especially in public spaces. We contacted Ben as we were looking for a trainer that could reduce the anxiety our dog has around certain sounds. From our initial assessment to our final session 8 weeks later, Ben provided essential insight and tools that have brought more structure and discipline into our dog’s life. This has had the benefit of reducing the stress our dog associates with loud public spaces and providing her with a better framework to control her emotional response to situations, as well as help us understand why she is responding the way she is responding and adjust our communication with her as well. I cannot recommend Ben enough. He has a genuine understanding of how different dogs operate and a willingness to work with the dog and their owners to address issues.

We rescued a small 10lb doodle, Cappy, well into adulthood with very little training, he was housebroken, but that was about it. We worked with Ben for a few sessions to build the basics like recall, leash walking, and helping Cappy overcome being overly timid. Ben was fantastic. He explained everything clearly, helped us understand not just what to do but why dogs behave the way they do, and gave us the tools and confidence to continue working with Cappy on our own. In a short amount of time, we saw a huge improvement because Ben’s instruction was so thoughtful, thorough, and personalized. We’re incredibly grateful for his help and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate dog trainer.
