Molasses Creek Dog Training is exactly what I wanted it to be. Marion Knows What She's Doing, has an excellent staff, and is on a mission to help puppies grow into happy dogs with good manners, and she does it all in the kindest, most sensible way. The country setting has everything you need-- place outside for dogs to run around safely, indoor classroom with props to help puppies get used to being around potentially scary things (wheelchair, bicycle, portable uneven surfaces, etc.)... and she's patient, funny, nice, and no bs. I can't count how many compliments our dog has gotten on her manners, and it's because of Molasses Creek.

My only regret about working with Marion is that I should have sooner! Our American Eskimo has been territorial and a vocal barker for years. We did the training classes through PetSmart, all the way up to advanced, but it didn't solve the core issue. Once my daughter arrived, the issues only persisted. We researched and finally gave in to working with a dog trainer. Marion's training techniques stood out to me so we went with her. I love that Marion uses positive reinforcement and starts with the clicker training but works up to the dogs not needing it. It's only been 4 home visits and I feel like I can live more symbiotically with my dog. Moving forward we just need maintenance lessons and any fun classes we decide to do. I highly recommend hiring Marion before problems worsen. It is worth the investment for peace in your house, your dogs happiness, and forming a better relationship with your dog. Marion literally changed our lives! We can't recommend MCDT enough.
