If you, your family, a friend, or anyone you know ever asks "Do you know of a good trainer?" I can 100 % confidently say, "As a matter of fact I DO!" Let me start with how it was like then and where we are now!? Zep came to me as a foster with his litter mate at 5 weeks old. I had given him guidance and structure with the help of my senior dog and both Zep and his sister. Scheduled feeding, bathroom breaks, and play time. He was well rounded and well behave. After returning my fosters to the "shelter" life, Zep eventually made it back to me just after his "alteration" at 10 weeks old. I adopted him and picked up with his "normal" life. In the midst of this I became medically frail and it was like he knew he was getting smarter, stronger, and growing up quick while I was declining. This change in him was gradual and I thought managed, until he became much more vocal with demands, physically impossible to put on a leash and almost never able to leave the house without him bolting out the door with no recall skills. I had reached a breaking point and reached out to Modified K9 with an urgency for help! This business was/is TOP NOTCH! Communication about the needs and goals for Zep, the timing of his board and train and cost involved was easy to navigate! Response time was excellent. Zep spent 6 weeks with Modified K9, and let me say "HE IS A DIFFERNT DOG ENTIRELY". We had visits and sessions that allowed me to learn from the wonderful trainers. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL OF THE TRAINERS IS KEY BUT SO IS BUILDING TRUST. Almost daily updates on Zep's progress, given suggestions about what was needed upon his return home and the offer of ONGOING training as the need arises. Zep has come a long way from the 1 year old, out of control, obsessive, mouthy and overly confident dog I sent and this boy has come back an obedient, willing to work (and is eager), learning skills like Recall on a leash, good heal/walk manners, and even working on his socializing skills with other animals (when I didn't ever think possible)! If you are looking for a repeatable trainer with experience with pups that you might deem "unmanageable" LOOK NO FURTHER! You will be amazed at the lengths they will go to make sure your pup has the best outcomes. Now the work is up to you! Zep is a fan! Zep is always their student! Zep is always looking forward to his "revisits" and skills refreshers! The pictures are just a few of the "during" training time with Modified K9 but there are plenty more of Zep (He's always going to be a student).
