MLK9 Dog Training

I just completed a Tracking Seminar in Pennsylvania with Mike, which was sponsored by Hold the Line K9 Conference. Let me start off by saying - for those who are familiar with the phrase "a teacher is born not made" best to describes Mike. Mike’s experience with various Law Enforcement Agencies and Breeds gave him the ground foundation for the experience and knowledge that he possesses today. Some people just get a degree or a certification, much like a cadet going to West Point without doing any enlisted time. They just have the fancy certificate. Mike DID the ground work, the ‘grunt’ work. He lived the lives of these officers, and applied what he learned in real life as an instructor. His knowledge of tracking is phenomenal. Not only can he train tracking in the LE world, but also, Search and Rescue, “Pet” Dogs, Military Working Dogs (which is where my K9s fall into), and Sport K9s (IGP & PSA). Mike is engaging and involved with each of his trainees. My K9, Gator, is a former Department of Corrections K9 (Age 7.5). Gator is normally suspicious and inquisitive of newcomers in his life, but Mike’s calm and professional demeanor immediately put Gator at ease - and Gator was willing to ‘work’ for him. I look forward to doing another seminar with Mike, perhaps having him work with some of my MPs in addition to my IGP club members. I can not thank MLK9 training for all that they have done with my Hannah Grace. They were patient, caring, and loving with my forever puppy. I love how Mattie, our trainer, send me photos, videos, and not to mention text to keep me feel apart of her 6week training. Mattie, was very patient with training myself and family when Hannah Grace returned home. Hannah Grace is now using her trainings at home and I'm confident that if I have a question- Mattie would be right there to assist. I am forever grateful for MLK9 and especially for Mattie!

I did not know the magnitude of what I was getting myself into by getting two pups at the same time and trying to deal with them on my own! MLK9 took care of the hard parts for me so I can spend my time just loving on them and maintaining their training. Lisa was amazing and has provided us with follow up appointments. The pups love her and she is a natural! My well-mannered pups are truly the spotlight wherever we go, best known for their beauty… and most importantly… their behavior! Thank you Lisa and Team! I couldn’t have done it without you.

I cannot say enough good things about this program and trainers. We were to the point of either rehoming our anxious and wild blue heeler or getting her professionally trained. Our girl was so hyper and uncontrollable we couldn’t enjoy being with her. We had been keeping her outside most of the time because she couldn’t focus at all inside because we have cats. We toured the facility and talked at length to Andy, we chose the on and off leash training. The 6 week program is a big investment but worth every penny! The facility is organized and very clean. They have everything set up so there’s no confusion on each dogs care and training. Andy kept us informed by texts, videos, and phone calls. We brought home a different well behaved dog. Her sweet loving personality is still there but she also loves to train and work. The cats aren’t an issue anymore!!! If we get another dog in the future, it will go here also. If you’re looking for a place to have your dog trained, this is it!!
