MK9 Dog Training & Boarding

I dropped my dog off for an evaluation for a possible board and train situation. My 5 month old puppy has developed a fear of people and noises. I have my own dog business and I'm reward based only with my dogs and It is EXTREMELY important to me that wherever I bring my dog has the same concept. I asked this question twice before leaving my puppy. I was assured that they were a positive reinforcement facility and I was given a few examples. What I witnessed on the live TV was anything but positive. The woman in the room consistently sprayed the same two dogs in the face at close range with a spray bottle. Although this isn't the worst form of correcting poor behavior ( literally I saw two puppies playing and it didn't appear as anything that deserved punishment) it isn't positive. I was told that puppies displaying poor behavior gets a 30 second time out which is how that is typically corrected in reward based scenarios. Removing the dog and then placing them back after a few seconds of decompressing. Why that didn't happen is beyond me. It's like she said what I wanted to hear, but side something completely different. Needless to say, I picked up my dog early and won't be going back. Don't say something thT you're not.

We adopted our puppy in late September 2020 when it was most difficult to socialize him not only because of the pandemic but also of the bad air quality due to the Northern CA fires. We missed to socialize our puppy during the crucial socialization period. Our puppy was fearful and anxious, and would snap at strangers who would try to pet him. Signing up our puppy with Positive Energy’s day training program was a very good decision, one of the important decisions my family made.  It was an investment to a good dog that our family can be happy and have a good relationship with. Our puppy has learned the important obedience skills, has been socialized with both dogs and people, and is now a confident dog. Via the private sessions, we (the owners) have learned how to continue the training at home. Also, Positive Energy’s puppy socials on weekends have helped our puppy to meet other dogs and people in a managed environment. Marwa and her staff are the best!  I appreciate all the trainers especially Marwa, Jenni, Giselle, and Britney.  We'll surely consider bringing our dog back in the future if he needs a refresh of his obedience skills. I definitely recommend Positive Energy Dog Training.

Amazing place with incredible people! They are not only great trainers put clearly people who love dogs. Our 8 month old bundle of anxiety has been making massive progress and having a blast while doing so. He is super excited to go in the morning and comes back exhausted, plus we get to see him through the webcams throughout the day. We are so happy to have found this gem of a place where our boy can learn to be confident in himself and respect boundaries! Thank you for all the hardwork and going the extra mile!

Marwa is honestly the best trainer we could have found for our rambunctious 5 month old German Shepard, Blizzard! She’s like a dog whisperer, it’s crazy 😂 She uses all humane and positive training techniques to really create a language between you and your fur baby that you both understand. She had Blizzard for a 2 week board and train, and when we picked him up we saw a world of difference right away after just 2 weeks! She updated us frequently, sent pictures/videos often, and she is very quick to respond as well and work around your schedule. Although we missed our boy, we were never worried about him. He was in wonderful hands. He got to experience so much in 2 weeks and he even learned some manners 🤗 I highly recommend her to anyone who’s looking for an awesome trainer and someone who will love your fur baby almost as much as you do while they’re away from home ❤️
