Our cat boarding accommodations are designed to make our feline guests feel right at home. We provide a quiet atmosphere with a friendly touch. Our Pet Care Technicians will professionally care for your cat and ensure that he is healthy and happy. Remember, we care about your cat too!Accommodations include cat condos with three different levels, large enough for multiple cats from the same family. Your cat may also pass through a kitty door to the other side of the condo for a different view.We provide bedding, dishes, litter and stainless steel litter pans. We provide Nature’s Variety Prairie Chicken dry cat food as our house diet or you may choose to provide your pet’s own diet in a labeled airtight container.

Can I go anytime to the dog park or is there certain days and times?
Hi Carter! Shelley got it pretty much right; the park is available 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon, Wed, Fri and Sat and 8:00am - 8:00pm Tue and Thurs. Park is only available on Sunday by appointment or if you have a monthly pass. Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella (Every 6 months) required for park usage. Cost is $7 for two hours of you can purchase a 1, 3 or 6 month pass. Hope to see you soon.

If you are going for the 1st time you need to register your dog and show proof of vaccination. There's also a fee to use the facilities and there are set hours it is available.

Is the pond area fenced in? Also do you have to pay the $7 for 2hr fee if you’re just going to the pond and walking on the trails with your dog?
The pond isn't fenced in but there is some natural boundaries. You do have to pay the $7 for use of the pond and grounds.

Hi Rachael. Everything Pamela Sachs mentioned is correct. There is a $7 fee to use the park for two hours, which includes the pond, the fenced in agility play yard and the walking trails. The pond is not fenced in but there are natural barriers, IE: trees, bushes, etc..., that help to provide a border. Most of the time once the dogs are at the pond playing either in the water or with other dogs they tend to just stay there and enjoy themselves. Don't know, but the cost is reasonable and modest when you consist the time you will invest and benefit off a well trained partner. Call them for rates.

Have not dome that but their trainers are really good especially Kelly & Jace. we do daycare and train at daycare in addition to going to their regular classes. The training during daycare is helping to improve her training and reinforcement of what we are doing at home and in class. Hope that helps some....

I have not done it before with my own dogs but I do see trainers walking with the board and train dogs around the public classes to increase distractions. The dogs ive seen have acted very well behaved while they worked around our class. So from what ive seen, it does work.

What is the best age to start training a dog
You can start a dog potty training and sit 8 weeks but not much more. I find the sweet spot to be around 5 months for heel, come and wow.

Misty Pines is an exceptional pet boarding and training center. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming, and the staff is caring, knowledgeable, and truly loves the dogs. I always feel confident leaving my dog there, knowing she’s safe, happy, and well cared for. Highly recommend Misty Pines for both training and boarding!!

⭐☆☆☆☆ Absolutely terrible experience. The owner of Misty Pines Dog Training in Franklin Park has no business working with people or dogs. He’s rude, condescending, and completely unprofessional — yelling at paying customers and making nasty, negative comments as if he’s doing everyone a favor. I personally witnessed him at a pet store speaking to customers in a humiliating and disrespectful way. He also crammed around 20 dogs into a small store filled with toys and treats, which caused a fight to break out — and he acted like he was above it all. The whole scene was chaotic, dangerous, and completely irresponsible. At one point, I even asked another person in the class who the trainer was because I couldn’t believe this man’s behavior. It was shocking and uncomfortable to watch. This owner clearly doesn’t know how to train dogs or communicate with humans. As a longtime client of Misty Pines, I’m deeply disappointed by the newly implemented dog park assessment process. I’ve always followed the rules, supported the facility, and enjoyed the space as a trusted environment for my dogs. But this recent change—and more importantly, the way it was administered—left me feeling frustrated and unwelcome. I was told the assessment would take 15 minutes, yet nearly an hour later I was still being spoken to in a tone that felt more like a reprimand than a conversation. After years of responsible participation and loyalty, I did not expect to be treated in such a condescending way. What’s most confusing is that Misty Pines acknowledges the specific individuals whose behavior prompted this policy change. So why are longstanding, rule-abiding clients being subjected to a broad, burdensome process that punishes everyone equally? It feels both unfair and counterproductive. If Misty Pines values community, responsibility, and mutual respect, that should extend to its loyal clients—not just be expected from them. I no longer feel that sense of trust or value, and that’s heartbreaking for a place that once felt like a second home. With great disappointment, I’ve returned my annual passes totaling $837. This isn’t a decision I made lightly. I hope Misty Pines takes seriously the concerns of the clients who have stood by them for years. —Carmelo H.

I was surprised that it was a big modern, complete, and expensive facility, indoors and out. There were many dogs training on the indoor agility course all at the same time and no barking or other misbehaving. All was calm and in control. The trainer, Jeff, and I and my wife, and my dog all got along great. He made several observations of my dog that I nor my wife would have made. He was very professional. I'm looking forward to our next session.
