Misfits Dog Training

We had a scary situation where I was mistakenly attacked by our two pugs during a bout of toy aggression. I sadly even had to go to the hospital and get stitches. When we reached out for help, John and Zoe came to the rescue right away, kept them for a two week Boot Camp and they came back so much better behaved! We have had a few lessons with John since then, and we are so impressed. Thank you Misfits Dog Training!

Zoe and John were amazing to work with. We had our 1 year old chocolate lab Chloe do the board and train for 3 weeks. Chloe started with a good foundation but Zoe and John built so much more on to that! Chloe has gained the skills to be off leash around many people, lowered her anxiety levels when in new places or on walks and seeing other dogs, and came back to our family with a new understanding of how to act around everyone. Chloe was a great family pup before her time with Misfits but came back an amazing dog that now my young boys can take on walks with out fear of being pulled over! We would highly recommend Misfits to anyone starting out with a pup or have an older pup that needs some fine tuning.

We sent our golden retriever Obi to train with Zoe at Misfits. He did the three week board and train and it was so worth it! He is a big dog and has lots of energy, with us having a toddler at home - we didn’t have the time to truly dedicate to his training and discipline. Zoe has been so amazing and Obi is so great with impulse control, walking on and OFF leash. He is so well behaved. It’s a relief. Thank you to Misfits for providing Obi with disciple and love! To me, Zoe and John are miracle workers. My 5 y/o corgi mix Merlyn has struggled with progressive reactivity and anxiety ever since we unexpectedly had to move from house to apartment 2 years ago. I've been following the advice of various trainers over the years, but after minimal progress I knew that something I was doing just wasn't jiving with Merlyn's psychology. I watched my sweet friendly pup turn into a snarling monster who couldn't even walk by children on the opposite side of the street, let alone be near another animal. It became so stressful to even take him outside it was affecting our relationship negatively. After ONE training/advice session with Zoe we were able to find a communication style that redirected Merlyn's overwhelming anxiety into motivation. After only a couple weeks of working independently, Merlyn's episodes have been reduced by over 50%. He is able to be pet by strangers again. His intense energy is still the same, but thanks to Zoe and John's advice we are able to redirect him and tailor activities that actually wear him out. Until we went to CIA I thought that he would only progress and become aggressive to the point he would actually hurt someone or something. I cannot recommend them enough!
