I would like to train at least one of my dogs to be a support or therapy dog. I have three I consider trainable and sweet enough to do the job, but would need more training. What do you suggest?
I would suggest scheduling a meeting to meet the dogs and discuss your options. It can get complicated and there’s a lot to consider when training a therapy dog. Andy, the head trainer, is very knowledgable and professional. His approach did wonders for my dog. My malinois is like a different dog now. His obedience level from where we started to where we are now is unbelievable. If you're considering any kind of dog training, I highly recommend using MN Canine Consulting. You won't be disappointed.
Andy is very patient and supportive and he showed me how to teach my vivacious Malinois to cope with his innate aggressive tendency. We just spent an entire weekend surrounded by strangers and hundreds of dogs at the Land O Lakes dog show. He was relaxed and behaved like a champion! Thanks, Andy!
