Mindful Training

I truly can not recommend Mindful Training enough!! Toni is so patient, positive, and kind. My dog has responded so well to her training style and she has given us to the tools to better communicate with our adopted pup. We have seen tremendous improvement with her leash walking, reactivity, and basic obedience. I have tried other (more expensive) trainers in the past and I continue to reach back out to Toni to help us. I appreciate the notes send at the end of each training session as a refresher and to help track progress. Thank you for all your help! Training is truly a mindset and we look forward to continue working together :)

After trying multiple trainers and behaviorists over long periods of time I’m really happy with Joshua. The first thing I liked was that he was really paying attention to our challenges with our dogs and specific behaviors we wanted to address; unlike the bulk of trainers and behaviorists that have their script and want to start their training on their own program that may work for some but I was looking for specifics. Another thing I loved is that Joshua started working with the dogs right away, as opposed to to others that for the most part ignored the dogs to tell the story about their methodology and showing videos without really getting to work with the dogs. The most important thing I was looking for is a positive reinforcement based training. No prong collars, no dominance or alpha theories (that have long been debunked but still around), no squirt bottles or any of the sorts. Timely positive behavior reinforcement to shape and redirect. Making the experience great for both the dog and the person. Price was also very fair, and his assessment on number of sessions needed was very accurate and far below what others charging thousands would quote.
