About Mindful Training

Mindful Training is a dog training service based around teaching the pet parents how to be a mindful dog trainer for their own dog. We teach you basic obedience, troubleshoot any difficult behaviors, and practice with you all along the way. We also include daily training notes so you can refer back to our sessions at any point. We begin our service with a consultation at your residence (or remotely via webcam). The consult usually lasts 30min-1hr. The consult is used to discuss your goals, concerns, and answer all of your training and behavior questions. We then briefly discuss our modality, "how" we train. Lastly we discuss our logistics of service. If you decide our service is appropriate for you we can schedule a training session.

Joshua is a kind instructor who really helped our family! We have never had a puppy, and joined the rest of pandemic world, and got one. Except with 3 kids at home, we had no idea how to train him properly. Our vet used Mindful Training, and recommended them when I asked for suggestions. Mindful Training is affordable, kind, helpful, and thorough. Joshua even included my kids in training, so the whole family could be involved. 100% recommend to anyone unsure how to respond to puppy behavior.

Joshua and Mindful Dog Training have been absolutely incredible!!! A true game changer for our family! Exactly the kind of training I was looking for to help with our two doggies. One a 7 year old cocker spaniel rescue... & one a 7 month old parti yorkie puppy. Both VERY energetic and VERY vocal. Joshua is able to show us with such a natural ease how to handle each of their unique personalities. Joshua is so calming and easy to talk to throughout the sessions... and so encouraging when I feel overwhelmed with doing things just right. I cannot say enough good things about him. I had literally spent months looking for the right person to help "train ME" :) to properly and lovingly teach my dogs safety, commands and everything in between. We found our perfect match!! I also look forward to getting the emails at the end of the day going over all that we worked on and the goals for future visits. Thank you Joshua and MINDFUL TRAINING.
