Update: After reading the business' reply, I get the impression that they're implying we didn't work with him enough. Not the case. We worked with him for months and followed all instructions. There still was no progress. When we signed the agreement, we figured there would be some improvement and we even wanted to do a more intensive training regimen with the trainer, but Emmah recommended we just do the 6 week private lesson. In regard to our new trainer, she uses very humane techniques that have been successful when she trained police and work dogs. I'm glad they're sending out satisfaction assessments; we would have appreciated that. I would definitely recommend Mindful Canines for those with mild behavior problems or those looking to do basic training for their puppies, but if your dog has more moderate to severe behavior problems, you might need to seek out a different trainer. _____________ We were dealing with a really nervous puppy; he was about 7 months old. Emmah was very sweet and was able to talk to us about tips and tricks for training him . However, it took four weeks before we could get to the point where our pup wasn't barking at her constantly. We spent $360 for her to tell us things we could have looked up on YouTube and then our sessions were over and our dog's problems we're no closer to being solved. We got a new trainer. She was able to calm our dog within two minutes and was actually able to train with him. I'm just super disappointed in Mindful Canines. I feel like a good trainer wouldn't just take our money and quit without trying to help the problem. I'm glad we went with a different trainer this time around. I'm actually seeing a real change now.
