Milligan Valley K9 Academy

So very pleased with the outcome of our one week board and train. Tucker, our 7 month old golden retriever had a few issues to overcome. One, he considered us his litter mates and the play biting was becoming extreme. Whitney, Cecilia and staff worked diligently and taught him to be a perfect gentleman. We are totally amazed with their training process. He is a much calmer and well behaved dog. All I can say is if you're in doubt, don't be! The results are phenominal. Thank you Milligan.

Our family has used Milligan Valley for board and train for 3 of our dogs. We have also used the structured boarding service. This group of trainers is unlike any I encountered when searching for a solution for my sweet, but in need of training dogs. Their passion for dogs, training and “training” the dog owners is unmatched. Their training includes ecollars, which I was very uneducated about before working with them. My dogs and I enjoy plenty of experiences together because of the quality of training they have had. I have recommended friends/family to them and will continue to do so. We get compliments on how well behaved our pups are—and they need to be at 95-110 pounds! Our smaller dog is full of energy, smart and just as well behaved. Thanks Milligan Valley K9 Academy!

My dog Casper went through the 3 week board and train which was a complete game changer for him. He is just under 2 years old and had some basic obedience training prior to this but was still having some behavioral issues (leash pulling, scratching at the doors, resource guarding with other dogs and chasing cats). I was very hesitant about using a prong collar and e-collar as I had no prior experience with them. They made sure I was completely comfortable using them with my dog and were very thorough about explaining how they work. They keep you updated and involved throughout the training process and help you to understand how to have a better relationship with your dog. He is still is happy go lucky self but has much better manners and easier to handle. After the board and train ended they are still available any time I have questions or concerns which is nice to still have the ongoing support to make sure I’m doing my part in keeping up with his training.

We took our Fur Baby,aka,Sampson to Whitney,Danielle,and their fabulous team when he was about 6 months old for the puppy class,that our Daughter’s gifted us..Both my wife,and,I were skeptical about the prong collar.We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it not only doesn’t hurt him.But,is in fact a great training tool.Next,we enrolled him in their Board,and Train class.It was worth every penny that we invested.Along with the help of an E-Collar.He is a very well behaved dog,that we are fully confident in taking anywhere we go.I just had the pleasure of attending an “Alumni”class with him today.It was amazing to see a group of 17 dogs obeying by just using hand commands.I have to believe that it is more about the humans learning to be the boss.Whitney,Danielle,and crew are/were always very helpful,knowledgeable,and,yes assertive to make sure that we are/were in charge.Not,The dog.If you have any doubts about what you dog/dogs can do.I highly recommend that you check this place out.You will not be disappointed.

Look forward to the classes now!!! UPDATE- 6 yrs later and I am back with another 5 month malinois! You and staff are amazing trainers. I love the balanced approach and you take time with us educating us on tools, such as the e-collar! YOU ARE SECOND TO NONE!!
