I cannot say enough about these trainers and kennels. Nikki trained our new pup for off leash and on leash and helped me with focusing my older dog! She and Mark love what they do and it shows! Both my dogs love to go visit for our trips as well. They have great prices and amazing follow through after training. You will not regret using them! Not to mention the Rescued Abilities work they do as well! Great job you guys!

I had a terrible experience with a previous trainer and I always said that I would never send my dog to another trainer. Well, fast forward a couple months and I decided to just give Mill Pond Kennels a call just to see if they could train my dog to be a ring bearer in my wedding. After all it couldn’t hurt! Back Story: Auggie is a rescue. I rescued him from an organization out of the Dallas area when he was seven weeks old. I had no idea what I was going to do because I had previously had a small dog who was simple and easy. Auggie was my trouble child all the way. Would deliberately look at you when you told him no and do it anyway. Very stubborn and I didn’t want a big dog not being able to obey basic obedience when I had visitors. Gave Mark a call and he has got to be hands down the most down to earth person I have ever met. Auggie took a liking to him immediately. I knew that I trusted him when Auggie went straight up to him wagging his tail. He took a disobedient, stubborn 6 month old puppy and turned him into an obedient lovable 8 month old ball of fur. I am so pleased with the way he has responded to his commands. Mark did an outstanding job with him. Words cannot describe how grateful I am that Mark was able to take my dog and not only love him like his own but he was able to make me see that I could trust him with my dog. You will not get a cleaner more well managed facility than this. It is clean and the dogs are well taken care of. I’ve already planned on boarding them with his “Uncle” Mark for any visits I make back to my hometown and for the wedding because I know Auggie will be in hog heaven.

I highly recommend Mark Sonnier and Mill Pond Kennels for Basic Obedience Dog Training. He worked miracles with our Golden Retriever Wilson. Mark harnessed his energy into a controllable and pleasurable dog. Best of all, he taught us what we needed to know to continue handling Wilson which made the training program a success. We are proud to say that we are all family now and Mark is now WIlson's Godfather.

This place is wonderful and I would highly recommend to anyone with their dog, no matter how energetic or defiant their pup might be! At first I was extremely nervous to bring my pup because I’m a very slow learner and my pup has tons of energy. The trainer worked with me and my pup with lots of patience and energy! They gave me the confidence that we could do this!! These guys really know what they are doing, they are very knowledgeable, patient, and work with you to teach your pup. These guys are not like your normal pet school (teach commands and leave) they teach you and your pet and adjusts to how your pet learns. Being bilingual I wanted to teach my pup some commands in another language, without hesitation they understood and worked with me even, if they didn’t know the language. I truly believe these guys can train any dog and teach you everything you need to know. I can’t say it enough, they are patient knowledgeable and very friendly. Because of this I would 100% trust them with boarding as well. Their prices are reasonable and you really do get your money’s worth.
