Mike Preis Dog Training

Mike is skilled dog trainer, even dog whisperer! We have had two dogs, one recently (male golden retriever with lunging/growling behaviors toward larger dogs) under his training; he guided us step-wise through lessons we could do with our dog to improve behaviors and our communication. Mike is clear, thorough in his email notes (i.e. reminders, summary points), has vast experience and gives great assignments. I would highly recommend Mike and know you will be delighted by his work.

I got recommended to Mike through someone from work and have recommended him to two other people since, he is very knowledgable about dogs and their behaviors and takes the approach of using redirection and positive reinforcement in his training. After 6 sessions of his guidance our 9 month old puppy is much better behaved and we also have a much better understanding of her behaviors, it's like night and day! For sure worth it.

Mike is absolutely lovely, and was such a godsend for us, as we're learning to deal with a high energy puppy. I especially liked how all the practical tips were tied together with a deeper understanding of my dog's general psychology. We did the in-home sessions, and Mike gave us a bunch of invaluable recommendations on how to set up our space. Can't stress how helpful these tips were. Each lesson also came with a very thorough report afterwards reviewing what we learned and how to practice them on our own, as well as video links and toy/feeder recommendations.
