Midway Dog Academy

Our anxious rescue dog, Toffee, just spent a boarding weekend at Megan W's utilizing the same training regimen from when she had been trained by referring colleague Kendra years ago. It was a great experience. In dropping off and pickup, Toffee seemed at ease and took to Megan right away. I could tell when we picked her up that she had been well taken care of just by her demeanor. I am so glad to have met Megan and would definitely return even though it's a good 35 minute commute for us. I texted Megan once over the weekend just to check in, and she got back to me immediately and assured me things were going well. All of my dog's items were returned to me (doesn't always happen with boarding--especially at the vet), and the blankets even smelled freshly laundered. (Apparently Toffee spit up once the 1st evening, which is not unusual for her when she is nervous, so her stuff got washed). I did send anti-anxiety Rx medication, but she barely needed it. I appreciated that it was used sparingly even though she had my blessing to just keep it going around the clock if need be. Megan has a calmness/ sweetness/ friendliness about her. I appreciated that Megan filled me in on Toffee's behavior, eating, interacting, emotional state, etc. at this new environment for her. Megan also offered that Toffee is welcome to return to board any time. For those of you with "special" dogs who need to travel, you know this is music to one's ears. (Typically we've used Kendra, who was out of town, or our vet whose boarding area was understaffed and is getting an overhaul). I could tell that Megan has a big heart for dogs, cats, and birds. Her home is lovely, in a nice neighborhood with a well kept yard. I recommend her for boarding / training 100%.
