Mid-Atlantic Dog Training

We truly had an amazing experience with Tom and mid-atlantic dog training. We brought home an energetic labradoodle at 9 weeks old in the middle of the winter. As first time dog owners, we were overwhelmed with how to best train our dog... we couldn't even get him to sleep in his crate at night without whining at first! Passing by people or pets he would bark. As busy professionals, we needed someone to tell us how best and effectively train our pup to live a happy life where we could easily take him with us in public or to our family outings during holiday time. Right after our first meeting, we noticed a huge difference. Our pup slept in his crate for the first time unbothered, and every night now he runs to the crate to sleep at night and it is his sacred space. He walks briskly on his leash and does not pull. He is able to sit on a bench with us at the park as other dogs and people walk by, without a reaction from our pup. He has learned many different commands. We opted for the 6 months puppy training classes, and it was great way to build on top of our prior lessons each month. We live in a busy high-rise and our neighbors have commented on what amazing progress he has made from when we first got him. On top of it all, Tom is a great human and felt like a trusted friend by the end of our training. He was never bothered by any of our questions or emails. He sent great resources throughout our training too. He is a true professional who cares about his brand and business and I would 100% recommend him to anyone in the Baltimore region looking for a dog trainer.

Ginger and I had a great experience working with Tom! It was my first time to have a puppy in my life and my puppy is very high energy. She jumped to the sofa and sometimes pee inside. But she showed great improvement in behavior after just a few sessions. Tom has clear instructions and always follows up in time. All sessions were well-structured but still flexible enough to address specific issues we were dealing with. Right now, I feel much more confident handling my puppy and plan to travel with Ginger in the future. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a professional and compassionate dog trainer!

Tom helped my wife and I work with our 18 month-old pug and it was a fantastic experience. From meeting in our home and neighborhood for lessons, to helping us overcome hurdles in our confidence, Tom goes out of his way to cater his training program to the client and their furry friend. Our dog needed basic training and was a nervous leash walker who was prone to reactivity when seeing other dogs. We were practically unable to walk anywhere besides the block we live on. Tom guided us through basic obedience training, crate training, and indoor heeling before we moved onto outdoor training. The difference in our dog's behavior is night and day. We can now take long walks around the neighborhood and to the park with ease, and Tom's lessons have provided us with the foundations to continue training our dog on our own. If you are considering a dog trainer, you can't go wrong with Tom. You will immediately find that he both takes his work very seriously and loves working with dogs and people.
