Micky's House

Jim was the trainer for my newest pooch before he came to his forever home with me. His foster mom found Mickeys House and he worked miracles with this boy! His first couple weeks with me were pretty stressful for all of us, and he may have regressed a little, but Jim explained to me that Buck needed the time to adjust to his new home. As Buck got comfortable, he began to chill, then Jim graciously spent an hour with me explaining his training methods and suddenly it clicked for me and Buck! I now know how to work with him and what he responds to, and how to help him adjust to life with 3 other dogs. He is the sweetest boy, but without the work Jim did with him, he would never have been adaptable. I know his foster mom Kelly and I both appreciate and are thankful for the work Jim did with him, and im thrilled to give Buck a home with space to run, and buddies to play with!

I cannot say enough kind words about the training my dog received. I adopted my dog from Louisville Metro Animal Services and saw a flier in there for Mickey’s House. They work with adopters of LMAS dogs to ensure they do not end up back at the pound. My dog has special behavioral needs and I was very overwhelmed with his care. He was a danger to himself and others. I was gutted about the idea of taking him back to the pound, which could’ve been a death sentence. Jim worked with my dog one-on-one and continued to encourage me as his owner to keep being patient and trouble-shooting. My dog is a completely different dog now. Jim really talked to me on my level of understanding and offered solutions that worked with my lifestyle. To say he saved my dog’s life is not an exaggeration. I learned what my dog was trying to communicate. Thank you so much!
