FirstBarkFabiola was a great trainer and so patient with my puppy who was very vocal! I appreciate all the time she spent with us- she really cares about the dogs she trains! Classes are affordable and at pretty decent times. We will definitely be back to take more training classes. Thanks again Fabiola!

About Michael's Angel Paws
Michael’s Angel Paws is a Nevada tax-exempt, IRS-appr 501c3 not-for-profit organization that was inaugurated in October 2012. At our core and as of January 2021; we have graduated over 125 Assistance dogs, with over 70 Assistant dogs in training currently. Our Therapy Teams have over 250 members that are committed to helping our communities feel better and or navigate through difficult times with the help of our loving pups. Furthermore, we have coached over 5,000 dogs and helped them safely become happy, healthy, and well-trained companion dogs for families all over the Las Vegas Valley and beyond. Many of these teams have gone on to compete in agility, obedience, rally, one of our biggest joys is giving back to community.

How do you become Therapy Dog certified?
The training journey is different for every dog. To become a part of the Michael's Angel Paws Therapy Dog Family, you must pass the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Test and the Michael's Angel Paws Therapy Dog Class. Once you have passed the Therapy Dog class and test, you can enroll in the Therapy Dog Program.

What’s the difference between an Emotional Support Animal, a Therapy Dog, and a Service Dog?
Therapy Dogs and their companions are a dynamic duo trained to spread joy and healing through their special bond and interaction with people. These furry therapists, often the beloved pets of their companions, join them on their visits to various locations. While Therapy Dogs aren't granted public access by default, they can work their magic once they receive prior authorization and help others pawsitively everyday. Service animals are dogs individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities. Under the American Disabilities Act, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow Service Animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go. (www.ada.gov) Emotional support animals are defined as a dog’s mere presence providing comfort to an individual. Emotional support animals are not specifically trained to mitigate a disability.

I am so happy to have found Michael’s Angel Paws! I recently attended the Foundation and Advance dog obedience training and it was an outstanding experience. The classes were informative, well-paced, and fostered positive interactions among “pup” participants. The environment felt safe and enjoyable, not just for the attendees but also for the dogs, making the learning process both effective and fun. One of the standout aspects of the class was Matt, our instructor. His education, expertise, engaging and approachable teaching style, patience and genuine passion for dog training made a significant impact on Izzy and me. Matt keeps both pups and owners motivated and eager to learn. Overall, I would highly recommend the Foundation and Advance Classes at Michael’s Angel Paws for your training solutions. It’s a fantastic program for anyone looking to enhance their dog's obedience skills in a professional, positive and supportive setting.
