I've only had two sessions so far with Mia for my dog Jodie, but already I'm so impressed with her insight and commitment. I found out about her because she volunteers her time to help with foster dogs in a local dog rescue group that I work with. Jodie has been showing some fear based aggression towards other dogs and I was at a loss as to why it was happening as well as what I could do to help her feel more safe around dogs and ultimately prevent the behavior. Mia spent a good amount of time just observing Jodie and giving me a lot of really good input as to how to watch for signs of stress (her cues are as subtle as her pupils dilating and body language slightly changing-things I would never have picked up on without Mia's expertise) and different things I can do to prevent the problematic behavior. Mia clearly knows her stuff beyond any other trainers I've worked with previously and has such respect for animals and dedication to the animal that she's working with. I felt pretty overwhelmed and lacking in the skills it takes to get Jodie to be the dog that I know she has potential to be, and Mia has already helped me and Jodie so much and I'm already seeing improvement. I would recommend her to anyone looking for help and guidance with their pet's behavior looking for someone extremely knowledgeable and committed.
