Marvel K9 | Dog Training Academy

I have to say this is the best place to get your dog trained. For our King Shephard Olivia, it was a night and day difference. We enrolled her into the "Behavior Modification" program and it helped out big time. Even though our pup wasn't bad, we just couldn't have company over, we had to put her inside her kennel or outside. Now she is great around other people, listens to commands and she's really engaged with the training. The great thing about Marvel K9 is they continue the training even after she came home. We have another one to do but we're going to enroll her into proctection training next. She is much better and all I can say is THANK YOU. We have two German Shorthair Pointers. A male, Dax, and a female, Hazel. Well aware of their reputations and personalities as a breed before we obtained them we both loved their energy and dispositions. However, after a year we were at wits end… They destroyed our couch, back yard, multiple pairs of sunglasses, shoes, socks, various pieces of clothing, dog beds and pads, kitchen table and chairs, pillows and blankets and many other things. Tens of thousands of dollars in damage.Walking them and going in public with them was not pleasing at all. They had zero recall and could not be off leash unless they were entirely fenced in. They pulled like tractors when on walks even with prong collars. Dog boarding facilities would not take them due to their extremely high energy and disruption. We completed Basic Obedience Training at PetSmart and employed a personal dog trainer in an effort to get a grip, all to no relief. Finally, we were turned on to Marvel K9 Dog Training Academy in Temecula, CA. We set an appt for a visit to the facility with our dogs and met with Kristin who professionally evaluated our dogs and discussed with us in detail the Advanced Off Leash Training Program. Although it was pretty far from home and I thought it was very expensive, the guarantees they made were too good to ignore and our previous experiences with our dogs had not been the best. Fortunately, we were accepted and Francois and his team went to work! We dropped Hazel and Dax at the facility, (very heartbreaking!) and hoped for the best. Hazel was graduated in 7 weeks and Dax was graduated in 9 weeks. Longer than we had anticipated, but, as it turned out, well worth the wait! Both Dax and Hazel are entirely different dogs! The results have been simply amazing. They are both kennel trained (yes!) and fully obedient in: - Recall - Sit - Down - Stay - Stay in Place - Leave it - Heal - Threshold barriers - Manners when being fed We were provided with prong collars and e-collars for each dog and we were trained how to use them via training sessions conducted by Francois working with Hazel and Dax. We now enjoy walking our dogs on leash and off leash (where allowed and appropriate and safe) and going places with them like dog friendly restaurant patios, festivals, events and about town. I am currently expanding their training to upland game bird hunting. Thanks to Marvel’s boarding facility options we now have a place to board our animals (in a training environment they know) when we might need to. Frankly, the best money ever spent with outstanding results. It’s so satisfying and fulfilling to have such cool well trained dogs! A couple very important side notes: - Training continues daily at home! Don’t think for a second it’s going to stick without recurring daily re-enforcement. They do not come back as obedient robots with perfect manners like they completed cotillion. They are well trained dogs and you will have the tools to enjoy them and help them reach their full potential. - Their personalities are still the same! Dax can be somewhat aggressive and dismissive toward other dogs and people (we’re still working on that) and Hazel still likes to dig and be destructive if she’s not tended to. All the behaviors are still there but now I have tools to train them, stop them, or kennel them. They are nothing at all like before they completed training, not even close. Overall, an incredible experience and we are so pleased with the results. Worth every penny and we now have the coolest freaking dogs! Thank you Francois and Kristin and everyone at Marvel!

Its impossible to overly express how great an experience we and our dogs, Mojo and Olina, had with Kristine, Francoise and the team at Marvel K9. It was WAY more than well worth the trek to Marvel K9's facility. Both our dogs are rescues, each with different experiences before we adopted them and each with their own behavior issues. Francoise was able to work with each individually at Marvel and then with us at home. We were simply amazed by the progress our dogs made, especially when it comes to how they now act around other dogs, which was a BIG problem prior. What makes Marvel so wonderful is they truly care about the dogs and their owners and they go out of there way to make things work for everyone, dogs and owners alike.
