Mariah Dog Training

It's been a real pleasure seeing their leash walking skills improve! It's been nice to be able to walk Echo near all the dogs and have her ignore them! I'm so happy that they are getting along better. They are such great dogs!

It's so fun seeing your dogs become more enthusiastic about training with you! I can't wait to see what you all accomplish in the rings in the future once we've had the chance to work through more of the training games!

It's my first priority to help the owner with their dog and not to make the owner's friends or the general public happy with the dog's behavior. I also want to offer training that fits the budget that people can afford. Sometimes that means that the dog and owner don't get as much training as I would like them to have. A third reason why a dog's behavior might not reflect my training ability is that people have situations that don't involve their dog that can take their attention away from making sure that their dog isn't being rewarded for undesired behavior. My job is to make my client's happy within the confines that I am given. Sending out robotic dogs so the public is impressed isn't a priority to me.

Yes, training in the summer of 2020 was interesting. I'm so sorry that me saying "We're training" and "Interesting" in those two settings was such an upsetting situation that you are still thinking about it 15 months later. That definitely wasn't my intention. Had I known that you were upset, then I would have been happy to clarify or refund you or offer other training solutions. I truly thought that your job sounded interesting. I was struggling to explain the concept and was hoping that I could find a way to explain it that applied to your daily work but your job sounded cool and complex and I didn't know anything about that topic. At the park, maybe I was extra loud or extra abrupt. When you fell off of the schedule, I did reach out to see what happened. I remember you saying that you had to go up North due to a family emergency. I offered to do some virtual coaching until you returned. I reached out a second time and you said that you permanently moved up there. I offered to return to doing virtual coaching. At that point, I still did not know that I had upset you. Again, I'm sorry that I wasn't able to resolve this for you last year. I wish I had known.
