Mariah Dog Training

My puppy Charlie had the best time at puppy school! From the first training meet and greet session, Mariah provided me with the info I needed to make sure my puppy would be well trained. She also doesn’t use any subversive techniques, which is really what I wanted. Puppy school was a great opportunity for socialization and Charlie is much better in the car now. The report cards, pictures, and videos also show how well cared for your dog is during training! I get a lot of compliments on my dogs training now - Mariah really set us up for success! I have referred friends to her and trust her for my dog training needs. I also love the setup of puppy school. I had read bad things about board and trains and loved the idea of him being picked up and dropped off so he gets a full day of training but got to come home at the end of the day.

We were looking for a dog trainer to help us with a specific issue. Our dog was already mostly trained to our liking using positive reinforcement, so we were not looking for a pre-prescribed full training program. We did an evaluation session with Mariah to discuss our goals and for her to meet Sylvester. We signed on for a set number of sessions and started working on training right off. We had "assignments" in between sessions and were able to meet our goals and establish the tools we needed to move forward to the next steps with Sylvester. She listened to our needs, observed us as we used the new tools and made appropriate corrections. Sylvester LOVED her! Mariah does not shy away from providing honest feedback. Be ready for this. Personally, if I am paying someone to teach me something, I appreciate an approach that does not beat around the bush. I absolutely, positively would bring Mariah back to work with us again in the future. She is a goldmine of information and has a wealth of experience to share. Highly recommend!
