Manners Matter K9 Training

We are so thankful we found Sarah. We have a beautiful Cavapoo puppy who is full of energy. Sarah has helped us tremendously teach our puppy to heel when we walk by other people and dogs instead of pulling and barking like she did before. We did a 2 week puppy boot camp with Sarah and when we returned from our vacation we were given back a puppy who had learned so much. We can’t wait to see how much she can learn and are excited to continue a wonderful training program. We can’t recommend her enough to anyone who is looking for an experienced trainer!

We started training with Sarah when our puppy was 3 1/2 months old. I really appreciated that Sarah came to our home for his assessment and that she recommended a 5 session package to start with him. My husband and I learned so much about how our own behaviors sent mixed messages to our puppy. The adjustments she recommended made a significant difference. I chose the picture of walking Kona on the beach because before we started training walking on the beach was awful. Everything in his mouth. Now after learning the drop and leave it commands, I enjoy our morning walks together. Sarah really helped us understand the foundational commands that other commands build on. Also appreciated that she started every session with getting an understanding of what is working and what is causing us issues. Looking forward to starting off leash training with Sarah in the fall.

After a very frustrating 10 months with my Bernadoodle puppy I luckily found Sarah online. After a couple of phone calls and an in home evaluation we signed Donut up for her 3 week board and train program. Donut was a wild puppy, jumping, pulling on the leash and weaving while on a walk to the point she would wrap around and almost trip us. She just flat out wouldn’t listen. After just one week with Sarah we went to visit Donut and what we saw was a different dog already. We couldn’t believe it. Having Donut train with Sarah was the best decision we could have made. The only regret I have was not doing this many months sooner. If you are on the fence- trust me just do it. Everyday since Donut came home we have continued her learned behaviors and walking her is so enjoyable, she listens to us (98% of the time, still working on that LOL) she stays in place to relax. The stress level in my house has come down greatly. Best decision we could have made for us and for Donut.

As the first time owner of a very energetic puppy, I was uncertain about how to address his behaviors. Sarah put us on the right track, not only through training commands, but also with trust building activities. She is compassionate and very knowledgeable - truly an expert in her field! She is also a great teacher, patiently explaining the “whys and how’s” behind her directions. My pup loves and respects her and I’m so grateful for her help!
