Maine Refined K9

I’m a senior with a one year old pit/ lab mix. When I brought her home I figured I’d be 83 when she turned 10! I’m very petite and not an alpha person. My fear was of being pulled off my feet and breaking a hip. The groomer referred me to Devin and I couldn’t be more grateful! My dog was pure joy but not trained, she’s a Rescue, and already my arm hurt from her pulling. It was a big investment but I’m very glad I took her to him. She no longer pulls, will go to her “place” when told, basic commands that I never could have taught her. He also “trained “ me how to be more assertive and that was a bigger challenge I think! When I took her in for a follow up visit she went crazy wild with excitement seeing Devin! He has a sixth sense with dogs, it’s amazing to watch. He was so good to my pup and an excellent trainer who also works with people as individuals and he tries to meet their needs. I’d refer any senior who has falling fears to call Devin. He provided me years of safety and companionship with my very much loved pup.

Compassionate, skilled and life changing. Devin provided an exceptional experience for our daughter. Our daughter is on the autism spectrum and she struggles with communication. Devin has a soft, easy going way about him that put her at ease. Devin's dog training skills, along with the assistance of Brigette, are top-notch to say the least. He is the best of the best! They showed incredible patience, inclusivity and skill in making the sessions accessible and empowering for her. I would recommend them to any family. Our beautiful German Shepherd responded so positively to their calm methods. They taught our daughter how to communicate with and handle her dog safely, which has been incredible to her development and happiness. Captain and our daughter will be side by side for a long, long time! It brought tears to my eyes. Thanks for making a difference in her life! Thank-you Devin!

We adopted Maggie from Rescue Charlie's Friends in October. She had some wonderful qualities already such as no barking, no separation anxiety and not chewing on things she shouldn't. However, we struggled with her lack of listening and running off, and her excessive energy and jumping on people. We sent Maggie to Devin for a month of boarding and training. Amazing is all I can say! We visited a couple times a week and Devin would demonstrate to us what she had been working on and it was so incredible to see her progress! Maggie is now such an incredibly good listener and comes immediately when she's asked to, she knows place and stays on it when people come through the door, she heels when walking , and so much more! I could go on and on but I will end this by saying she is happy, confident and a well trained girl who we are comfortable taking anywhere with us. We are so very happy we gave Devin a call and you definitely won't be disappointed if you do as well! 10 out of 10 recommend! Thanks a million Devin!!

Devin was an absolute delight to work with! He completely transformed our dog Luna into a confident, well-behaved companion. Not only did he help build her confidence, but he also took the time to educate us on how to properly handle and support her. His dedication and one-on-one attention to each animal in his care is truly amazing. Thanks to Devin, Luna is thriving—and we feel empowered as dog owners.
