Lucky Dog Training LLC

Update: We've now gone for 4 classes. Everyone has been excellent. We plan to continue training with Lucky Dog into the next year. Millie has really loved her agility classes with Jen. Took my beagle puppy to the trick class. She already knew several tricks so I wasn't sure how the class would work for us. However, Lucky Dog was the only place that was actually willing to do an assesment. Every other facility I contacted wanted to put us in Star Puppy or something similar. I just knew my pup was too advanced for those classes. The kind owner watched me work with my pup then asked me what my goals were. She recommended we start in the trick class, so I did. The instructor taught us many tricks I didn't know. My pup managed to get her novice, intermediate, and advance AKC titles by the 3rd class. I was so proud of my pup and happy with the instructors guidance. It was a small and laid back enviroment. No pressure to be at the same pace as everyone else. She helped everyone work at where their dog was at and didn't push for things. She made sure the dogs were comfortable with each progression. There was no sense of failure at any point, even if your dog didn't get it the 1st try, or several. The building is always tidy and has good lighting. The parking is right in front of the door. There is also a large grass area to relieve your dog. They even did a fun, no pressure, crawling contest. Every dog won a prize. If you want a low stress and quiet enviroment this place is great. I've been to other places and they always seemed a bit crowded with too many dogs in the class. I plan to take many other classes here.

Worked with both Hana and Shanda with my pup as he was getting aggressive with my older dog. I was at my wits end as I tried everything I knew. Thankfully Lucky Dog is local and trains via positive reinforcement, unlike many local trainers who require costly boarding and/or electric training collars. I’m so thankful for their help! I enjoyed being able to text them with updates and getting weekly homework/outlines. Looking forward to joining my boy in an obedience class!
