I cannot say enough good things about Madison and her training style. She worked with me and my now 10 month old German shepherd Morrigan, who had zero impulse control and no training when I got her at 6 months. After about a month of owning her and trying to do it myself I realized I was going to need help. I started looking into trainers in the area and found Madison! After the initial consult (and reading other reviews) I knew her training style was going to be perfect for what I needed. We did 6 sessions (3 day training and 3 private lessons) and it was incredible to see her work with Morrigan, and to see the progress. She not only boosted Morrigans confidence, but my confidence as a dog owner as well. Madison really takes the time to understand you and your dog, and tailors her techniques and how she trains to that. I’m so pleased with how far Morrigan has come and am so much more confident in how I work with her.

Outstanding personal dog trainer! Handled even my dog with a "special" temperament with a firm but loving care! Madison at LucidK9 came highly recommended by my Vet given that our dog was great with other dogs but terrible with people and mostly guests to our home. Our dog Fiz has anxiety, impulse control issues, and although smart and knew a bunch of commands, had issues focusing in high stress situations and public places. Madison provided a consultation at our house and even offered advice before we decided to do a 3 week board and train. During her time with Fiz she sent us video updates, in depth training videos and tips, and just overall pictures of Fiz having fun and playing for peace of mind. Part of Madison's training plan even included socialization in public, guest-at-the-house training, and muzzle training. Her in depth knowledge of all types of dogs proved wonders, providing a tailored training regimen for our dog, recommended training products (e-collar and training, muzzle, "place" bed, slip leash, etc). She even provides follow up meetings at your house with your dog to make sure follow up training is going well and to answer questions or provide answers to issues post your dog's time with her. We knew we were in trouble when our vet told us at our first visit, “you’re going to have a problem if you don’t get some of this behavior under control now.” Luckily, we were referred to Madison. Right away, we knew we were in the right hands. Our Border Collie was a challenge with aggressive, stubborn tendencies and early on, we weren’t sure he was the right fit for our family. Madison was patient, honest and set realistic expectations from the beginning. She equipped us with the right skills and training. Between each session, we noticed significant improvement with Jett. Here we are months later and we have a completely different dog! I attribute that to our training with Madison. We luck forward to working with Madison again in the near future to continue improving and sharpening Jett’s skills.
