Love Ur K9 Training

THE BEST!!! This may be long but it is a testament on how amazing Kevin, Toya, and the team at Love Ur K9 are. We started at home 1:1 training with Toya when our giant breed puppy was just 12 weeks old and we are so happy we did. We set goals with them from the beginning and after each session we were given homework to work towards the goals. Once our pup finally had all his vaccinations we were able to start training with them at their facility. I genuinely cannot recommend them enough. They are so kind, patient (with the dogs and their owners ;) ), loving, and knowledgeable. Our dog gets so excited when he gets out of the car to go into training. They also offer boarding which was incredibly helpful for when we were on vacation but didn't want to lose track of our progress. Having a puppy can be incredibly difficult to navigate without professional help (we felt like we were going crazy the first few weeks before Love Ur K9) and we are so happy to have found them. If you are a new dog parent, or a dog parent who wants a little more help when it comes to getting your dog to the best version of themselves, go see Love Ur K9!!!!

This review is 100% unsolicited!! LOVE UR K9 dog training is the best investment I’ve made!! Period!! I was considering a few other highly recommended dog training facilities in the Southbay, but as soon as I had an initial conversation with Latoya on the phone, I was sold. I liked LOVE UR K9’s approach: personalized training for MY goals for my 3-year old dog! The following week, my rescue dog, Jackson, started a two days per week group training program. I dropped him off at 9:30am and picked him up at 4:30pm. I saw IMMEDIATE RESULTS!! Kevin, Latoya and the staff are excellent and very experienced at handling and training all different types of dogs, at all different stages, as you see them first hand working diligently with the dogs during drop off and pick up! Jackson had some challenging behavioral issues as well as some emotional ie anxiety issues which LOVE UR K9 solved in a 6-week program. Each week I was given very specific homework assignments on exactly what to work on with Jackson, how many times per day, how many minutes for each session etc. LOVE UR K9 also offers weekend morning group training at the local Hermosa Beach park and vicinity which is very effective with all the distractions! I couldn’t be happier with the results… I’m thrilled to be able to calmly walk Jackson on The Strand in my community with a cup of coffee in my hand and able to greet other Strand walkers with their dogs without any drama! Latoya and Kevin are absolutely fantastic. They’ve been incredibly kind, collaborative, and effective in their training approach since day one, helping our puppy Nala work through her behavioral problems. After a few weeks of training, we’ve seen significant progress with Nala and feel very grateful to have had their guidance and expertise throughout this process. We can’t thank Latoya and Kevin enough for helping Nala be able to attend doggy day care now! We highly recommend Love Ur K9 Training to anyone who is looking for a dog trainer!

I rescued a beautiful 14 month old Doberman Pinscher with hopes to train him as a service dog for myself as I was recently diagnosed with medical issues where a service dog was recommended by my physician. I was referred to Loveurk9 for training of my dog not only because of their knowledge of the Doberman breed well but because they are also highly educated in the needs of those diagnosed with special needs and assisting both the animal and the human in their new life as partners . I can honestly say that though my dog was not out of control when initially rescued, within the first week of working with Kevin, Latoya and the staff my beautiful boy has amazed me. I HIGHLY recommend LoveURK9 to anyone with any type of dog that might just need a tune up no matter the size or to help you with your own needs to help give your dog the best paw forward in life and with your family. Toya, Kevin, Mel and the rest of the Love Ur K9 team have changed our lives! Our German Shepherd puppy was struggling with leash aggression and other problem behaviors. They helped us gain confidence, build trust and credibility to establish leadership, and turned our girl in to the best dog ever! Sometimes you need help turning your good intentions into the desired outcomes. The Love Ur K9 team taught us, and our puppy, how to do just that.
