We’ve had an amazing experience with Love For Dogs! When B’Olive was 7 months old, we started with a 15-day boarding and training program. I have been taking my dog to Love for Dogs since she was a puppy three years ago. Under the previous owners, she had extensive training and daycare, plus occasional boarding. It was always a five-star experience. Then, at some point without any notice, the business was sold to new owners, the names of which, I was told recently, cannot be shared with me. I did hear that they own the Pet Supplies Plus store at Studewood and I-10. The trainers I trusted left one by one, replaced by young inexperienced staff members who, despite caring for the dogs, had some difficulties handling my Belgian Malinois. I had problems booking daycare, as the manager was not often there, and she was the only one who could book daycare. It was impossible to reach her. I would request certain days on What’s App, and sometimes I would get a response, but usually I did not. When I finally talked to her, she said that my dog could only come two days a week, as they had to keep openings for training and boarding. The last straw was the day I picked her up on a Friday evening, and they could not find her collar. I called the next day and was told that they would eventually find it. I went there in person and was able to tell by the airtag on the collar that it was located near the treadmills, but the staff member refused to walk back there and look for it, so I entered the training area and found it myself. On Monday morning, I received a call from the manager, who informed me that she had not had a chance to review the cameras because she had another job. I was also told that Chloe was no longer welcome there after three years. AND I had 9 days left on my daycare package (a value of roughly $300) and was told there were no refunds. What kind of owners refuse to share their names with their customers and are literally never there? Not the kind of people I trust with my dog. And when a business discontinues services, shouldn’t they issue a refund? I leave it to you to decide.
