I came across Lorenzo’s Dog Training a little over a decade ago when I was looking for a dog trainer for my newly rescued pitbull puppy. I was struggling to train him through YouTube videos, so I asked a close friend for a recommendation. They suggested taking him to Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team, saying it was the best investment I could make. I reached out to them the same day for an evaluation. I was amazed and fascinated by the evaluation, so I had no choice but to sign up my puppy for training to strengthen our bond. Little did I know, I was on the path to a long-term career. After a couple of sessions within the training program, I fell in love with the training techniques. I was witnessing progress in my dog; he was getting better every day. At the time, I was a full-time student studying exercise science and driving for Uber to make some money. My response to him was no. He then said, “If you ever change your mind, feel free to reach out so we can talk about it.” By the end of the training program, I was obsessed with training my dog, so I called him and asked, “How do I become a dog trainer?” Before my rescue, I had no knowledge of dog training; I barely knew different dog breeds and had no experience in dog training. I didn’t even know how to run a business. I joined Lorenzo’s Dog Training University, and after graduating from the training school, I was assigned a coach who mentored me every step of my career. They taught me everything I needed to know about dogs, clients, and running a business while building a network. I went from not knowing anything about dogs to becoming a master trainer with Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team. I built a team to coach and teach them how to replicate the system, becoming the best trainers they could be. Today, my life has completely changed as I’ve been able to accomplish goals that I always had: moving my mom to the United States, getting married, having kids, and enjoying a lifestyle that I can finally afford. Besides all that, I can say the best part of my career is coaching trainers, training clients, and being able to save dogs every single day. I love seeing the transformation in a dog’s behavior and helping them develop a stronger bond with their owners, ensuring they can stay in their homes instead of being put down or rehomed. That’s what I strive for every time I train a dog. It brings me so much joy, and Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team did that for me. I can wake up every morning feeling blessed about my career and looking forward to a joyful day, being my own boss, and running my own business with Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team by my side. LET ME JUST START BY SAYING THIS WAS BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER HAD MY DOG TRAINED FOR ON/OFF LEASH HE BIT 2 PEOPLE AFTER BEING TRAINED BY THEIR TRAINER AT THE TIME OREALUS RASHID CALDWELL WHICH THEY WOUND UP FIRING BECAUSE A DOG ACTUALLY BIT HIM AS WELL REACHED OUT TO THE COMPANY I CAME IN WITH MY DOG AND SPOKE WITH THE OWNER LORENZO AND I EXPLAINED MY DOG NEEDED A REFRESHER HE BASICALLY JUST TOLD ME I WOULD HAVE TO PAY ANOTHER $2500 FOR MY DOG TO BE TRAINED AGAIN WHICH I WAS NOT DOING PEOPLE DO NOT GO HERE WORST EXPERIANCE EVER OWNER DID NOT CARE AT ALL HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN

We had a lot of issues with our beautiful silver lab pup, Maverick, that came to us from the breeder too early. He was very aggressive, ignored commands, needless to say training wasn’t going well. We were contemplating rehoming him when we thought we’d give one more attempt at training. We really wanted to love him and have him as part of our family. Lorenzo’s seemed like the way to go for us. Jacob Perez came and evaluated Maverick. He worked with Maverick in his home for several days and with us and Maverick on the same page. After a few months of reinforced training, we saw huge improvements. Maverick is now a beloved member, even when he has toddler tantrums. We are very grateful to Jacob for all his efforts. He still reaches out and checks on how things are going and welcomes us to classes if we need a refresher.

From Client to Joining the Team: In 2013, I welcomed a dog into my life who struggled with severe behavioral issues from the start. She was strong-willed and highly aggressive toward other animals. Despite reaching out to multiple trainers, I couldn’t find the results I desperately needed. By 2017, I was on the verge of giving up on training solutions. Then I discovered a card for Lorenzo’s Dog Training Team (LDTT) and decided to give it one last try, driven by my unwillingness to give up on those I love. From the moment the evaluation began, I knew this experience would be different from my previous encounters with trainers. The professionalism was evident the instant my trainer walked through the door. In our brief discussion about goals and challenges, I received clear, insightful education. The defining moment came when the trainer handled my dog in front of me. For context, my dog was barking, frenzied, and lunging at the trainer’s dog. In about 30 seconds, my trainer calmed her down, making her completely unaware of the other dog’s presence. I was astonished and immediately exclaimed, “When can we start!” The training was intensely focused and required discipline on my part, but it was life-changing in a remarkably short time. This profound experience inspired me to help others struggling with their dogs. I took a leap of faith, abandoned my other career pursuits, and dove headfirst into a career as a dog trainer. The transition wasn’t easy, as I was accustomed to a 9-5 structure. Fortunately, I had mentors who guided me through a transformative journey of personal growth, business development, and dog training expertise. As things began to click, my skills with clients and dogs flourished, and my commitment to personal improvement transformed me into a better person overall. My life changed for the better in ways I never imagined. I’m incredibly grateful to have experienced life as both a client and a trainer. Lorenzo and the LDTT team have been inspirational, caring, humble, and supportive throughout my entire journey. I couldn’t ask for a better company to be part of as I help spread their mission to others.
