Lone Star State K9 LLC

My baby Willow always stays with friends or family when we go out of town but since moving that really wasn’t an option for me so I found Lone Star through google and gave them a call and right from the initial phone call I had a good feeling that they would be a great choice for Willow. Willow struggles with getting along with other dogs so the fact that she was able to not be thrown into a group of dogs made me feel very reassured. I also really loved the fact that the facility is at their house so there is always someone nearby the dogs. On the day I dropped Willow off - she was instantly all about it. She went off with one of the employees all smiles and never looked back! I could tell she was instantly comfortable. They sent daily updates and photos which was amazing and helped reassure me she was having a good time. Even after I picked Willow up - one of the owners sent me a picture of a dog that she thought was Willow and was saying hi - clearly Willow was very loved and cared for if even weeks after her stay the owner still recognized her and wanted to say hi. I can’t say enough amazing things about my experience with Lone Star State K9 and I will without a doubt be using them again next time we go out of town!

We took our SNIPSA German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix rescue puppy to Lone Star State K9 for their 4 week board and train program, and we had a wonderful experience! Our puppy had so much energy, and would bark and react to anything she saw or heard in the house, yard or on walks. Their board and train program helped us get her the foundational learning for her commands like sit, down, place, heal, out, etc. so we could continue and sustain her training. They even took her out to different outdoor areas and stores to help her build up her confidence in new situations. When we picked her up they spent plenty of time with us to teach us the commands and marker system so she could continue to be successful with her training when we got home. After having her home for a few weeks we definitely notice a huge difference in her ability to follow commands, which has been really nice! Our puppy does continue to be reactive in certain situations and struggles with barrier aggression, so we have enrolled her in a 2-week add-on e-collar training to help her better focus on us and commands in those difficult situations. The staff at LSSK9 are all very knowledgeable and passionate and they provide regular updates with videos on how the training is going. This is an excellent place to bring your dog for training!
