We do want to provide some additional context for those reading this review.<br><br>The specific concerns communicated to us prior to training were barking and jumping. Throughout her program, we sent numerous videos documenting her progress, including her successfully working in high-traffic environments and around other people without barking or jumping. These videos also showed the training methods and tools being used throughout her stay.<br><br>You reviewed these updates and responded positively to her progress, including commenting that she looked like she was having so much fun, was learning a lot, and that you weren’t sure she would want to come home.<br><br>At go-home, we don't simply hand your dog back and expect you to figure it out. We have owners work hands-on with their dog while we coach them through the commands, tools, corrections, expectations, and handling techniques needed to continue the training at home. This gives us the opportunity to demonstrate what the dog has learned while also allowing the owner to practice those skills with our guidance.<br><br>In addition to that hands-on instruction, you were provided with more than 30 pages of detailed information covering her training and how to maintain it at home. Our Board & Train programs also include two complimentary refresher sessions specifically so we can help owners troubleshoot, reinforce training, and address challenges that may arise once the dog transitions back into the home. Those sessions have been offered and declined.<br><br>During our phone conversation regarding your concerns, you also acknowledged that you knew you needed to continue doing the work at home. Owner follow-through is an essential part of any training program.<br><br>Dogs are not robots. A Board & Train establishes skills, structure, boundaries, and expectations, but those things must continue once the dog returns home. If the expectations and accountability change, old behaviors can return. This is exactly why we put such an emphasis on owner education, hands-on go-home instruction, extensive written resources, and continued support after training.<br><br>We absolutely encourage prospective clients to ask questions about training methods, tools, expectations, and goals beforehand. We are transparent about how we train, and the methods and tools used with her were also visible throughout the training videos you received and responded positively to.<br><br>While we respect everyone's right to share their experience, we stand behind the training and progress she demonstrated throughout her program. We have extensive video documentation showing her successfully working around people and in high-distraction environments without the barking and jumping behaviors she came to us to address.
