Lone Star Dog Training and Care

Our little monster “Boo” got to stay with Sergey for three weeks. I couldn’t be more proud of the progress she has made under Sergey. Although she is far from a finished product, I truly believe Sergey’s program sets a solid roadmap to success. The confident foundation he built will allow her to enjoy her remaining years tremendously more than the first few years. I couldn’t recommend this training enough! The training is not cheap, but if you can afford it, it is well worth it. My wife and I hadn’t been back to Japan, her native land, in over 6 years. I’d rather spend a little extra money for not dog to stay in a trusted and structured environment then send her to a dog hotel that would probably continue to reinforce her bad behaviors and likely create additional trauma to compound the situation. Sergey is very honest about expectations. He let us know pretty to paying for training that this was not going to be a magic fix, and that my wife and I would have a lot of work ahead of us once Boo returns home. During the first couple days, Boo was not able to acclimate to her new environment. Sergey was very forthcoming in telling us Boo may not be able to complete all commands under his typical program, but would work with her as much as he could when it felt safe. Despite this, Boo was able to learn come, sit, down, place, and heal. Those commands alone make a big difference. I was surprised to see how well she walked with Sergey, now it is my turn to build that trust with her so we can have the same relationship. I think the value in Sergey is his very honest feedback, his ability to explain the rationale behind his recommendations, and his patience with Boo. French Bulldogs are notoriously a difficult breed, and many trainers just chalked up Boo’s behavior as frenchie behavior, but Sergey has shown us there is another path, even for a 5 year old dog. Sergey is the bulldog whisperer. He trained our 10 month old English Bulldog Griffin for 2 weeks and I think she was bummed when he brought her home... She loves him so much and that says it all... But, during the 2 weeks, he alleviated our separation anxiety with cute videos and pictures and was always responsive with text messages. - When he brought her home, he trained us and Griffin is such a better behaved little stinker now. After the training, he sent us the most beautiful PDF with instructions and links and everything you could think of, even laid out in Griffin's color... purple... Thank you Sergey. We couldn’t be happier with Sophie’s experience training with Sergey. Sending her from New York to Austin was a big decision, but it was worth every mile. Sergey was incredibly professional, friendly, and kept us updated throughout her entire stay with photos, videos, and progress reports, which gave us complete peace of mind. We reached out to him because we were having some behavioral issues with our dog, and from the very first session he took the time to explain why our dog was behaving that way. He showed us how to work with our dog correctly and gave us practical exercises to continue at home. What I appreciated most was that he never promised instant results. Instead, he explained that real progress comes from consistency and regular practice, which set realistic expectations from the beginning. I also really liked that he didn’t just teach commands, he helped us understand our dog’s behavior and body language.
