I have over 30 years experience with dog ownership and training. I got interested in dog training in1972. I have worked with and trained protection dogs, service dogs and family dogs. All of my training is done at my private training studio located behind my home in Lexington South Carolina .I only allow one dog in my training program at a time so that I make sure I give you and your dog the best training results possible.

John is absolutely amazing in training dogs! He is so kind and gave me free lesson because I am a teacher even though I insisted to pay him. I was so surprised and touched by how he recognized educators work. My puppy never learned heeling before but he did so well just after 2 hours lesson with John. It's like a magic! John was also so generous to share his knowledge about dogs. I learned A LOT there. You can feel how much he loves dogs. I have to say dog captain won't fail you.
John is absolutely amazing! My boxer Ghost is 3, and had issues encountering any dog, jumped on people, and also liked to play bite. John worked with him more than 50 hours a week, sent video updates multiple times a day, and made sure I was throughly educated on the techniques and training he received. I’m so happy to have him home and trained.
My dog learned so much and gained so much confidence with John. John sent me daily videos and texts of Noodle’s progress. Noodle is now crate trained and off leashed trained. He goes to work with me now. He knows many commands. John is so easy to work with and an expert at training. I highly recommend John if you want the best dog trainer.
The very first day we met with John to discuss training options of for our puppy he took the time to give us training and feeding tips that we could do at home. John was so generous with his time and expertise. We can't wait to continue training with The Dog Captain!
