I had a rescue dog for 6 years before having my first child. She was my best friend and everything to me. Two years after having my son, my dog snapped at him over food. I was terrified and nervous to have my dog stay in the house with him, because my number one priority was my son's safety. I didn't know the right answer for both my dog and son. I was overwhelmed every day by anxiety and fear. I made the call to Gwenevere and even from the first phone call I learned so much about dogs. Gwenevere helped my husband and I learn that it was our issue to fix, not my dog's, but in a compassionate and non-judgmental way. I really almost gave up on my dog because I was so confused and scared (something I never thought I would do). She believed in my dog and pushed me out of my comfort zone until I believed in my dog again. My dog died suddenly a year and half after training, but she had such a wonderful life with my son during that time. She never had to be separated from the family again and NEVER had an aggressive incident again after training. Gwen and her assistant Sarah came to work with our dog Bailey, a six month old border collie mix who is dog and people reactive. When they first arrived, she was barking loudly and continuously, but by the time they left they had her barking under control. It was amazing! They started out by explaining the psychology of how a dog thinks — specifically our herding dog’s habits and traits — and shared tips and tricks of how best to control her in different situations. They then moved onto practicing visitors coming through a door and then walking through the neighborhood while heeling. After that, Gwen brought out her beautiful German Shepherd and walked her by the house and up onto our porch to get our dog’s barking under control. We then moved outside and learned to walk along side Gwen‘s dog and it was amazing to see our dog walking shoulder to shoulder with her tail wagging without any issues. Gwen even brought her dog inside our house and Bailey was okay with that. My family practiced what Gwen taught us yesterday on our walk this morning and it was amazing how much more enjoyable it was for all of us. We would highly recommend Gwen working with anyone’s dog. She is extremely knowledgeable, totally invested in helping you, and is willing to listen and answer all of your questions!

Gwen and her trainers changed our lives. They taught us how to train our dog. My husband and I were frustrated that our sweet boy was now nipping at friends that would come over the house and reactive with other dogs. With hard work and going to classes every Sunday we now have a well mannered dog that we can take on walks and have friends over without issues. He even got nicknamed “the mayor” at our Sunday classes. I have recommended Gwen and her team to friends and I will continue to do so. They do amazing work but we had to do our part as well.
