Hi, my name is Kris, and I am a professional dog trainer with a passion for unlocking the true desire each dog has for pleasing their owner. As an active duty soldier, I saw first hand how far a well trained dog will go to demonstrate their loyalty. Your dog wants that relationship with you too and with the right training goals and methods, you and your dog can know a disciplined and fulfilling bond. My training philosophy is based on a balanced approach that combines positive reinforcement techniques with fair and humane corrections. Legion K9 does an amazing job with dog training! Whether you are still having a younger puppy or a slightly older dog, he can do it all. I was on a travel assignment in Coeur d’Alene and typically reside in Kalispell Montana, on alot of open farm land with no neighbors. Therefore, when I was doing a travel contract at a local hospital, I became of very frustrated with my Flat Coat Retriever Bear, I never had to walk him to the extent I did in CDA, living in a small down town house with a fenced in yard, and having him in more crowded public places than I’ve ever experienced before became a daily struggle. Also our neighbors dog had just gotten hit my UPS truck after crossing the street which my dog was also known to do. I knew at that point I didnt want to ever have to worry about my dog being hurt because of my loss of control over him. Something had to be done. I did my research, talked to Legion K9 and knew they were the right fit! I had him do some basic training before, and he was by no means an absolute terror of a dog but was a leash puller, high prey drive, SOCIAL dog. I wanted to be able to bring him everywhere when I was traveling, and also allow my husband to bring him on job sites without ever having to worry about him misbehaving at all. Fast-forward to now after doing the day train program with Legion K9, My dog is absolutely amazing, people comment how amazed they are at a younger dog, having such discipline. I never have to worry about him running after black bears, pheasants, or deer unless I allow him to do so. In addition, he can heal on command and his walking skills are excellent. Kris even taught me some things to watch out for when my dog is playing with other dogs And interacting with other dogs. Therefore, if you want your dog to be your number one companion and never have to worry about him, getting hit by a car, chasing livestock or animals, and want to feel in control of your dog at all times I highly recommend Legion K9. We had a basic understanding of dog training with some basic obedience, but Kris took my dog to a total different level, it was a night and day difference. Kris took our dog to the top level. And if you’re wanting your dog to be at the top level with obedience, then it look no further.
Highly recommend bringing your dog to Kris for quality training. I really appreciated the aspect that he’d meet wherever to help train koa for my lifestyle. I’ve already seen a lot of improvement.
Kris is a great honorable guy. We brought our 8 month old puppy Bodie to him. He gave us some thing to work on at home to get him trained on a leash. He told us that we could dump thousands of dollars into him. But instead of that he helped us and didn’t charge a dime. We will be taking Bodie back to him for more advanced training in the future.
