Lee's Dog Training

I wanted to write this review based on the experience we had with Lee. I was anxious/skeptical at first about spending the money on having our Golden Retriever and Lab train with Lee. They had been getting in very bad fights for awhile, and we didn't know what else to do. This seemed like alot of money to spend for training. That being said, if you are feeling hesitant, i want to assure you that it will be worth the investment and more!!!! Lee was very helpful/professional/patient and made my girlfriend and i so much more confident in our own home. Instead of feeling like the dogs were in charge, we finally feel at peace and not anxious in our home. Lee gives you the tools to ensure that you will be successful. The week long training makes a huge difference, but you have to keep the training up to ensure to go over the finish line. This investment in our dogs has been the best money spent, and I would recommend Lee to anyone. He is great and helped us get a part of our lives back. We keep training to keep them on the right track and our seeing major results already! and its been less than a week that they have been home. Thank You Lee

We had our 13 week old border collie puppy at Lees and after bringing him home we are very satisfied. Ernie had a big problem with nipping, challenging and basically not listening. We wanted to invest in him being a well behaved dog, so we knew we needed something more than your average PetSmart trick class and Lees is it. It isnt just about commands, its about dog mentality. Lees boot camp made a big difference and it was immediately apparent on pick up day Ernie had learned alot and his attitude was much more compliant. One week is not enough time to make a perfect dog obviously, but it was enough time to get Ernie to start doing what we need him to and Lee gave us all the tools we needed to start consistently doing this at home. Lee gave us alot of time to ask questions and work with him on pick up day so we could get comfortable with the training methods, as well as the ability to call and text any questions that come up! The facility was nice and worked perfect as a training space during this super cold and snowy Indiana winter we have going on. We are very happy with this investment in our dogs behavior!

My family is very grateful for Lee! We didn’t know what we were getting in to when we got an energetic Irish Setter/ Retriever puppy. Thanks to Lee we can manage him and he will listen instead of going absolutely crazy. He is still a work in progress 3 months in, though I believe that’s more on us than Lee and his method. Lee is quick to answer any questions you have ( and I feel like I have asked a lot). I would recommend this training process for sure. Thanks Lee!

We took both of our dogs to Lee for training and it was the best decision we made. Our oldest Kaia was about 6 who we got from the shelter about 4 years ago. When we got her she needed so much work. She was a little aggressive and had no boundaries. She was always jumping, mouthy and overly excited. It was so bad to the point my wife’s boss thought she was being abused because of the bruises she had from Kaia being mouthy and jumping. We did some treat training with her with someone else in the past and it helped however she usually only listened if we had treats, otherwise there was no respect. Our trainer at the time said to just be consistent with it and we were but that still never changed. Our second dog Xena was a puppy and only 10 weeks old when we took her to Lee. We thought she might be to young but Lee assured us puppies do just as well as adult dogs in training and the results showed this to be correct. We choose to take them both to Lee because he doesn’t use treats and his method is far superior in our opinion. He got our dogs behaving so well during their week long training and following commands faster than any other form of training we tried in the past. He has a whole video series that teaches you all you need to know to have a well behaved dog, so make sure you take full advantage of that. He is there to answer any questions you have after you pick up your dogs as well. We were so surprised when we got home because we were actually able to eat lunch with both of them in a down and stay command, it was very peaceful. Our dogs are still their loving selfs but with respect and manners. Also for those that might be hesitant about prong collars I would say that it’s a really a great tool and not one that brings lots of pain or abuse to the dog but rather a safe correction that leads to respect. In fact I just took Xena’s prong collar off and when I went to put it back on her tail was wagging, she was excited and happy. We know that between lees training and what we learned that our dogs will soon be able to enjoy life off leash.
