Heather is a wonderful and patient trainer. Her positive reinforcement methods are unique and she understands dog behavior better than anyone else I've ever worked with. She truly loves all the dogs she works with and gives you specialized attention for your unique situation and challenges. She is a genuinely nice person and really helps you to understand the ideas and reasoning behind the way your dog is acting and why she is suggesting certain training methods. There is no better dog trainer in the area. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my pups!

Love the classes! Heather is such a resource of knowledge. She guides you through a foundation of understanding the methods. The written material is easy to understand, and visual examples helped with detecting body language and dog behavior. With 1 on 1 guidance, I changed a few of my bad habits and was amazed when the dog figured out that I actually was talking her language now. It's helped to have a group to see others practicing and seeing their timing, learning right along with each other in an upbeat environment.

I love Learn Pawsitive! We found this service through our veterinarian for help with a reactive dog. Heather has been so helpful, kind, and willing to share all her knowledge with us. I have seen the greatest improvement in my dog in the shortest amount of time with her than I have with any other trainer I’ve used in the past (and there have been a few). Likewise, she herself has been readily available on any day at all times when I have had questions- eager for a phone call. This personal touch has been the most beneficial for me and really touching. I recommend this service to anyone and everyone who has a dog they need help with (or just want some guidance on some fun).
