We had an amazing experience with Leader of the Pack Canine Institute! Our dog Bo attended their program, and the difference has been incredible. He learned so much, and we can honestly say he’s a changed dog! The training, patience, and professionalism of the staff really stood out. They didn’t just train Bo—they helped us better understand him and how to continue building on what he learned. We are so happy with Bo’s progress and would highly recommend Leader of the Pack Canine Institute to anyone looking for quality training and a team that truly cares about the dogs they work with. I dropped off my dog for a full groom and picked him up nicked and bruised in multiple places. He was wiped out afterward. He cannot tell me he was hurt. That is exactly why anyone doing this work needs to understand what it is like to be powerless and in pain. I really hope Leader of the Pack properly vets the groomers they hire. They charged me an extra $10 for matting, which is fair, but they did not mention the complimentary battery my dog would get. Don't get fooled by the reviews. Take your babies somewhere the groomer understands they are handling furry babies who can experience physical pain. Worst of all is that the groomer did not think to mention these nicks and bruises when I picked him up. I found them out on my own. UPDATE To Owner: A few corrections, with dates. Bruno was groomed at your Easton location on September 12. He had been groomed regularly before that appointment by a different groomer, and I have those records. I booked with you because my usual groomer had no availability. No one from your business asked me to confirm the claim that he had never been groomed before you published it. Your own response contradicts the part I disagree with. You write that there were no nicks or bruises, and in the same response you describe redness, irritation and inflammation on his face, body, legs and paws, and confirm that the hair between all four paw pads was trimmed top and bottom. You also write that because your groomer saw no infection, there was no need to discuss it further. That decision is my complaint. Nothing was mentioned to me at pickup. I found it myself at home, and he was seen by his veterinarian afterward. I have the invoice with the date of service. On the photos: I updated my post on September 15 because the paw pads looked worse two days out than they did on the 12th, which is what happens as swelling develops and a dog licks at the area. You describe your own accusation as an opinion, and you reached it without asking me. I offered to send the original image files with their capture dates along with the vet record, and my husband offered to bring Bruno to your location so you could examine him yourself. Both offers were declined. On contact: I answered your call, told you I was at work and could not speak, and followed up by text offering to continue in writing. You refused and insisted on a phone call. My husband followed up with you on call. I have those messages as well. Saying I would not return your calls is not accurate. Of note is your strong refusal to communicate in writing. I will be uploading photos of the declined offers. Whether Bruno walked to our car in an empty lot has nothing to do with the condition he came home in, and it was not raised until after I complained. At any rate, documentation exists and I have offered it twice. It remains available for anyone to review. I understand that no business enjoys a bad review. For anyone reading this, the only takeaway that matters is this: when you leave your pet with someone, you should be able to walk out confident he will be handled with care. Bruno cannot tell me when he is hurt. Yes he is going to be happy to see me after a stressful grooming. He is also an anxious dog. That is exactly why anything that happens in the back room needs to be said out loud at pickup, and it wasn't. Everything past that is beside the point. This place has lost my trust with his wellbeing, and it has changed how I read a page of five-star reviews with no variance in it. Please see reference images. I had a wonderful experience with the Leader of the Pack puppy training class and am so grateful for the support I received from Tommy, Larry, and Tara. Tommy was an excellent teacher—knowledgeable, informative, patient, and genuinely invested in helping us succeed. He went above and beyond, even coming to my home for an in-home training session to help with interactions between my puppy and cat. I especially appreciated his care and empathy, as well as the way he taught me the importance of staying calm and confident when working with my very high-energy puppy. His guidance has made a real difference. Larry and Tara were also fantastic. They always took the time to help me during class, especially during those challenging moments when my puppy simply would not stop barking! Their patience, encouragement, and hands-on guidance meant a lot to me. I learned so many valuable tips from them and really appreciated their role modeling—the calm, positive way they worked with the dogs gave me something to learn from and try to carry over at home. We also love the daycare! Having a safe, fun place for my puppy to spend a day each week gives me some much-needed breathing room to get other things done, while knowing my puppy is being well cared for and getting plenty of activity. And, he loves it! Overall, I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge, patience, and support I’ve received from Leader of the Pack. They’ve given me practical training tools while also helping me become calmer and more confident with my puppy. I had such a positive experience that I’m already signed up for the Beginning Adult class and am looking forward to continuing our training!
