do you have any recomendations for trainers who can help w bigger dogs from the shelter? trying to get them leash trained and basic manners so they can get adopted. some of them have been there too long! Please if you know of any
Hello, thank you for the message. We train all sizes. At this time we don’t have the personnel to train pro bono to help dogs get adopted. With that said we donate and support the Delaware Humane Society on a monthly basis.
It is a goal of our company to help train dogs in the shelters to help get adopted but we are just not there yet. Thanks again for reaching out and we wish you all the best!

Recently a german shepard was added to our home. She is 4 years old and great with people. She has attacked one of our other dogs unprovoked 3 times. Will Training get her to stop? The other dog is much smaller and I don't want her hurt.

I have been very pleased with all services at Lead the Way. My 2 dogs, Goose and Bernie, initially went through the 2 week training program, and I now use them for grooming and boarding services. I am very comforted by knowing my dogs are in good hands with Josh and his wonderful staff.

Is there an option for more than 5 stars? The Lead The Way K9 family has been a true game changer in our lives. Our 6 month old Bernedoodle (Benny) completed the 2 week Board and Train program and he came back a new boy! Prior to training, we were having issues with jumping, chewing, crate training, counter surfing, and being consistent with commands. Lead the Way not only helped with these things, but also gave us the tools to set us up for success to continue training once he got back home.
As a first time puppy owner, I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done to support our family. And they have doggie daycare and grooming services now too- so convenient!

My two dogs have been going to daycare here for about 3 months and absolutely love it! The facility will post and send pictures to me and the boys are always smiling. It’s also nice knowing they are a training facility and qualified to handle multiple dogs at a time. We love Lead the Way and highly recommend!

We send both of our dogs here for daycare, training and boarding. Everyone is very accommodating, super responsive and friendly. I feel very comfortable leaving my dogs here, knowing that they are well cared for. Also, our dogs get so excited to be dropped off for daycare they don't even give me a glance goodbye. I also like that they post tons of photos to their Instagram stories.
