Last Journey K9

I absolutely love Katie! I could write a novel about her. I had gotten a new puppy and reached out to her about training and possibly a day camp type option on my longer days of work. The amount of knowledge that I have gained from working with her is astounding. I have always been a dog owner and lover, having decently behaved dogs but nothing like the sort that I will have learning from her. Starting from the beginning was/is a great idea because I learned some simple mistakes that I was making. Never once has she made me feel uneducated about these things. She explains why we are doing what we are doing, offers improvised plans for our specific family situation if something doesn’t work the first time and is extremely knowledgeable! I am still working with her and will continue to. My pup is now 3.5 months old and is extremely well mannered for that age. We have worked on kenneling, name recognization, recall, staying on place (cot bed), “leave it” commands, laying down, eye contact, handling (super important for vet visits and grooming), leash work and so much more. I get videos demonstrating the sessions so I know what to do at home. Each week we talk about what we need to work on. She has really taught me how to be a better owner and handler. If we are lucky, we get a solid 10-14 years with our best friends, so why not give them the best start to a happy life?! I can’t recommend Katie enough. My next pup will definitely be working with her as well! Thank you for all your hard work 😊

As a breeder we look for trainers to refer our puppy people to for help in making their puppies/dogs the best they can be and then help teach the owners how to be what their dogs need them to be. That is Katie with Last Journey K9. Her knowledge with puppy starting and behavior modification is amazing. She always goes above and beyond. I’m so thankful that she’s been there to help me and my puppy people!
