Lasata Dog Training

As first time dog owners, my family and I had no clue how to train and handle our puppy. Cori made sure to explain things in ways that made sense to us and helped us to better understand Hiwa (our dog). Cori was the third trainer we went to for Hiwa but only the first one we saw real results from! She was always so supportive of our progress as dog owners and of Hiwa, too! We loved how Cori offered us different ways to tackle Hiwa's problem areas and that we were able to do things in ways that made sense for our particular lifestyle. Cori also always made herself so available – with being so responsive and communicating things so clearly. Even though our sessions are done, we, as new dog owners, feel confident that we'll be able to train Hiwa to do anything, thanks to Cori! We only wish we met her sooner!

Since doing training with Cori, we have been getting so many compliments from friends about Kokoro's improvements! We came to Cori mid-pandemic and did zoom training sessions. I felt like I knew a lot, and my dog was pretty good... But I needed help with his leash reactivity towards other dogs as well as the classic jumping on people, and crate training. Cori provided me with the info and feedback I needed to help me with the specific behavior issues as well as how to understand my dog better. We truly both enjoy our walks more now that we can talk to each other and I can read him better. I also learned how to read him in the crate, so I can move forward without getting so anxious! One of the best parts of working with Cori was that when I felt stuck I was able to send her an email and video of the issue between sessions and she would respond with help. Overall, I enjoyed her ability to guide me in the right direction for what's best for Kokoro- all with positive reinforcement. Cori has a wealth of knowledge and resources in different forms for different learning styles (detailed email write-up, recording of session, handouts, video library, links, book recommendations, and just knowledge!) We have been able to do things that seemed impossible before the training. Definitely recommend!

Cori was wonderful with my dog Roxy! And wonderful at taking me step-by-step through the training process with my puppy. She was very attentive to what I wanted for Roxy And very patient with me because I am a first time dog owner. She worked with my schedule because I’m a teacher and so was very flexible with her timing. I cannot say enough about Cori. We also were in the time of Covid so our virtual dog appointments were wonderful and I will continue to use Cori even though she is located in a different state.

We were hesitant to do training sessions with Cori over Zoom simply because we just weren't sure how it was going to work or if our dog would even pay attention to us with all the distractions in our house. Boy, were we surprised! Every Zoom session with Cori was jam-packed with information, tips, and advice. We came to Cori because we wanted to work on really specific issues with Dozer since he had already went through basic training as a puppy and was a fairly well-behaved dog. Cori helped us solidify our bond with our boy so much! We thought we had a good boy before but WHOA do we have a super well-behaved boy now. It's been several months since we did our last session with Cori, and we still use her training methods up to now. She really helped us become better dog owners. And we as dog parents feel so great when other dog owners come up to us and complement our boy. She not only helped us train our boy but trained us too! We appreciate Cori's work sooo sooo much!
