I found Larry's flyer in a Pet Supplies Plus 11 years ago when I had rescued a 7-month-old German Shepherd and I was her third home! She was filled with anxiety, terrified of people, constantly barked, and was unpredictable with aggression. I wasn't sure if I could even keep her but knew that I had to try knowing that even though she was 70 lb at 7 months old and that she would grow to be much larger, which is why I believe many gave up on her because she was a very very large puppy with puppy mannerisms, I knew I had to give her a chance. Larry came out and trained ME for 4 hours. When he left I could walk her without her pulling, I could tell her to be quiet and she would immediately stop barking, I am not exaggerating that she was walking an obstacle course that we had set up in the backyard heeling by my side the entire time. He also taught me techniques to socialize her as well as some hidden gems to calm her anxiety by just rubbing in certain areas of her body. It has been now, like I said, 11 years and she turned out to be the most amazing dog ever. I owe so much to Larry and I have referred him to so many people with great success stories! I would not hesitate to hire him again if I ever decide to get another dog. My Alexandra, (Alex), is now declining... she is 12 years old and has severe hip problems, the worst part of having an animal is losing them.🥺 She will be missed when she's gone but we have had an amazing life together and I honestly don't think that I could have endured the puppy stages with her and her severe anxiety without the help of Larry the dog trainer.
