LapdogH2O Canine Aquatic Therapy

Jill and crew are a Long Beach treasure! Our vet recommended aquatic therapy for our 10-year old arthritic Boxer, Sam. Fortunately we found LapDogH20. Swimming brought Sam much needed pain relief and we always saw a noticeable improvement in his limping that lasted several days after each session. He loved going to swim class and we loved spending time with Jill and team each week. Sam passed away recently but his last years of life were made better by swimming...and floating...and snoring while floating. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

First time for our 13 y/o Senior foster- and all I can say is we will definitely be back for more sessions! Our senior struggles to walk with her back legs sometimes, due to sliding patellas, but we were so amazed at how well she did on her first therapy with Jill; She is absolutely Amazing and so compassionate! Our Senior loved it! She kept wiggling her behind and tail from how happy she was after her session. She is a rescue so we assume this may have been her first time in a pool and she's all for it and we're here for it! I highly recommend Jill, she is incredible! I am so happy and grateful that I found Lapdogh2o! 💗

There isn't enough that I can say about LapDogH2O. Jill is an absolute love. She is incredibly passionate about helping dogs and making connections with people. I've been taking my 11y/o pit Chicken every week for nearly two years now. When we first started going, Chicken was suffering from the pain of two torn ACLs. If you've ever had a pit, you know that's a worst-case scenario with only an expensive surgery to look forward to. I couldn't afford surgery but didn't want to give up on my best friend. So, in true millennial fashion, I went to Google for help. After doing some research, I learned that low-intensity exercise (like swimming) could help in supporting the tears to heal naturally. There was just one problem: Chicken HATES swimming. After a couple of weeks of failed attempts at the dog beach, I went back to the internet. Everything changed when I found LapDogH2O. It seemed perfect for what I was looking for, so I booked an appointment and prayed that Chicken would accept a calm, heated pool and life jacket and finally swim. Jill was incredible with Chicken. She took it slow, keeping Chicken engaged while giving her the space to get comfortable. After a few sessions, Chicken grew fond of the water and started getting excited to go every week. After several months and a diet change, Chicken is a whole new dog. Her legs have healed, she's lost fat and gained muscle (as if she needed any more muscle), and her energy level is through the roof for a senior dog. She started acting like a puppy again, running and jumping and zooming out. I know this review is on the long side, but I can't express enough how grateful I am to Jill and her business. While I know she alone didn't heal my pup, she contributed immensely to it. I couldn't recommend this place more to all dog parents. If your baby needs some fun exercise and you wanna find a loving person to provide it, please try LapDogH2O. I promise you won't be disappointed.

LapDogH20 has been amazing for our dog Zoey - a 12 years old choc lab. Zoey loved every minute of swim sessions and looked forward to her swim session each week and can hardly hold her excitement when getting ready to go for swim. Zoey had elbow dysplasia and severe arthritis and swimming at LapDogH20 has been incredibly good for her. Due to her elbow dysplasia and arthritis, Zoey typically walks with a limp. However, with Zoey going to swim each week, she was able to develop good muscle strength and lose weight which were critical to her condition. We cannot thank Jill and her team enough as they really care for Zoey and were attentive to her needs. We were so blessed to have Jill in our lives. Highly recommended !! THANK YOU !!

A few years ago, our dog Kaya was diagnosed with a disease that would eventually cause severe weakness in her hind legs. In an effort to help her maintain what strength she had left and provide her with some low impact exercise, my ex-husband and I decided to begin taking her to LapdogH2O. It was the best decision ever! Kaya loved her weekly swim time…this Labrador retriever, who never liked to retrieve anything, became an expert retriever in the pool! Jill and her team took such care with Kaya and would always adjust the exercises and games to meet Kaya’s ability levels. We definitely credit our visits to LapdogH2O in giving Kaya a better quality of life in her last years and highly recommend them to anyone with a pooch!
