Landshark K9

I welcomed Lucy into my home as a puppy at the beginning of the pandemic. Due to the quarantine, she missed out on fundamental socialization which caused her to exhibit such behaviors as fearfulness and territorial aggression. It made it extremely difficult to be around other people and dogs that she was unfamiliar with, which always kept me on edge. After working with Landshark K9, I noticed an almost instant improvement in Lucy’s behavior. After only 3 lessons, she was no longer tugging on leash and became responsive to my commands. Our communication has drastically improved, which has allowed for a stronger bond. I can now trust her to be around strangers and unfamiliar environments. The training we received through Landshark K9 has allowed for Lucy to become a more confident dog and myself to be a more confident owner. I am extremely satisfied with our results and would recommend their services to anyone who is experiencing behavior issues with their dog, or to anyone who is simply looking to improve upon commands and training.

I met Dee through a mutual friend who had hired him recently to train their 2 Labrador mix puppies. I was intrigued by his expertise in training military and police dogs. I hired him 5 weeks ago to train my then-5-month old Australian labradoodle puppy, Bailey. When Dee first met us, Bailey was 45 lbs and absolutely dragging me down the street whenever I walked him, counter-surfing for food in my kitchen, not sleeping through the night, and jumping up on me and all guests. He was also jumping on furniture and just generally wild. I bought a 10-session training package and Dee also brought Bailey to his house for a 3-day board & train session early on in our training together. By the end of the board & train, which occurred after we had done only one training session together in my house, Dee had Bailey walking calmly right next to me on our walks, had trained him to sleep overnight in his crate, had trained him to go to the bathroom outside on command, had trained him to sit, stay, and lay down on command, and had trained him to do a 100-foot stay (though I still cannot do that on my own with him). In short, Dee’s training was life-changing for me and for my dog, and it has made me love my puppy again! Dee has a very effective system of working with the dog, not against him/her, and has been incredibly helpful in getting us set up with crates and the proper collars and leashes to work effectively together. Bailey is going to board & train with Dee again at the end of this month, and I’m so excited to see the additional progress they make!
