Lakota Creek Kennels offers board and train programs for pet dogs across Des Moines and central Iowa. From basic obedience and advanced off leash training to aggression, reactivity, and behavior modification. Dogs live with us, work daily with experienced trainers, and go home with real, lasting results. Every board and train is followed up with private lessons so you can maintain what your dog learned. Whether your dog needs a solid foundation or you’re dealing with serious behavioral issues, we’ve got the experience to help.

Called in on short notice for 2 dogs over a holiday weekend. They were more than accommodating and very reasonably priced! Clean facilities and great to coordinate with!

Josh is the single best service dog trainer i have ever used, and considering that I own a pitbull rescue, and as such use a lot of different trainers, that is saying something. He is kind, compassionate, helpful where payment plans are needed and just an overall outstanding communicator and overall human being! I would recommend him to anyone within earshot! Josh at Lakota Creek Kennels was amazing with our young golden, Teddy. I could barely walk Teddy, even after going through basic dog obedience classes with him. Josh completely transformed our dog into an amazing companion. Josh is very knowledgeable, skilled, easy to talk with, and has a quiet strength that dogs understand. I highly recommend his training program.
