Jim has been my go-to person for all things dog training. I met him years ago with a shy rescue dog that needed help with confidence. With his guidance, she ended up with her canine good citizen certificate, finished in obedience, and she became such a happy confident girl. He helped again with another rescue dog and she was able to become a certified therapy dog. Jim does not have a one-size-fits-all training philosophy, he adjust the training and techniques to each dog and owner. Constantly learning and incorporting new skills. Best of all, he’s an excellent teacher for the owners, I’ve learned so much from him and it’s made my interaction with every dog so much better.

KK9 MD is an awesome inclusive welcoming environment. Jim is by far the most knowledgeable trainer we’ve ever worked with. We adopted a second rescue and quickly discovered he had some aggressive behaviors that if not corrected would greatly affect our outdoor lifestyle. We did a basic training class at one of the big box stores and it really did nothing to truly help our dog. We, sadly even talked about rehoming him, but we just could not give up on him. We met Jim in November of 2023 and he worked this magic with our little monster. He taught us how to handle and properly correct bad behaviors. We’ve learned the cues that get him agitated and are now able to stop these unwanted behavior before it becomes an issue. Having a dog is a constant work in progress, but thanks to Jim and his assistant Taylor we have a new dog. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you Jim! Thank you, The Tuttle Family
