Kodiak K9 Training

We had a great experience with Megan from Kodiak K9. Our dog Maggie spent three weeks boarding and training with Megan while we were away. We got regular updates on her progress with videos and photos included. We could see she was gaining skills and having fun. When we got back, Megan came to our house and spent about three hours walking us through her training methods and how to continue enforcing them within our home and routine. She’s also been responsive to our follow up questions. Since Maggie is an anxious dog, it was a relief to know she was in good hands, building her confidence, and surrounded by other learning dogs. I would definitely recommend Megan to a friend!

We are so grateful to Kodiak K9!! Before working with our trainer, Megan, life with two dogs was overwhelming. Our girls struggled with pulling on leash, follow commands, and excessive barking, (amongst many other common issues). Becoming parents to a new baby highlighted these areas for improvement and led us to Megan. Thanks to her patience, knowledge, and expertise, both of our dogs are now well-behaved, well-mannered, and such good listeners!! For the two weeks that they were with Megan and her family, we received regular updates and videos demonstrating what they had been working on. Now, with them home, everything is so much calmer, easier to manage, and far less stressful. They are the same sweet, goofy, gentle girls, but are excited to learn and practice their new skills. So glad that we made the decision to send them together! Megan took the time to make sure we understood how to reinforce the training, which made all the difference. As first-time dog owners we knew in advance we’d need help with our new little Bichon Frisé puppy, Teddy. So several weeks before Teddy’s arrival I was happy to find Corey at Kodiak K9 training. Corey was kind and helpful and ultimately suggested the two-week Board and Train program which sounded perfect for us. Our trainer, Audrey, took Teddy home with her for two weeks and she was a miracle-worker! A true professional, she provided daily videos so we could see the Teddy’s progress, and when she brought Teddy home after two weeks she spent four hours with us to patiently explain her training methods (and the logic behind them) and didn’t leave until we were comfortable that we understood. Her knowledge and expertise is evident, the change in Teddy’s behavior is astounding and she is a delight to work with. We most highly recommend Audrey and Kodiak K9 training.

This was easily one of the best decisions I did as a pet owner. Remi, my 1year old German shepherd, had a tough start when I first adopted her in late April 2026. We had a lot of fear reactivity with other dogs around my apartment complex, a lack of leash manners, and overall everything you experience with a puppy. I felt like i was in mental warfare with a toddler because I didn’t have a process that worked. From the first initial call with Corey to Megan bringing my baby back home - I knew these were the right people to help me. Corey assured me that this was all normal with a dog and told me how they do things. I’m so happy that he paired me with Megan as my trainer. Megan’s personality fit mine. She was the greenest of flags you could see as a dog person. From the way she spoke about her own dogs and family, i trusted her completely to train and love on Remi for 2 weeks. I received daily updates of videos and photos. Those made every day without Remi at home worth it. All of her kids were involved with training and that was a cherry on top of this whole experience. Remi came home today. We had an amazing lesson going over commands and getting comfortable using the e-collar. This is a night and day difference and now I feel confident as a dog owner going outside and being able to redirect Remi as needed. I’ve learned a lot about Remi’s personality and what she truly is capable of with the right training and structure. If you are questioning if you are making the right choice in sending your dog to a board and train program - I will tell you that Corey and Megan will erase whatever doubt or hesitation you may have. If you are questioning if these are the right people for the job - you 100% bet they are. They will take care of you before, during, and after your dog comes home. I’m excited for my future with Remi and what we will be able to accomplish because of the tools we BOTH were able to learn. We are absolutely excited to see Megan again in the future.
