Klug K9 Training

I can’t say enough great things about Klug K9 training!! Nikki is a Godsend!! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and makes training fun and engaging for both the humans and their pups!! I rescued my dog Cowboy at about 6 mo old and is a very high-energy pup, which I wasn’t used to! Before finding Nikki he expressed his energy in destructive and naughty behaviors and I had no idea how to turn that energy into productive/positive behavior! He also had never been on a leash before and pulled/jumped at it before taking these classes! It was a challenging start to our relationship, but we have taken beginners obedience and are currently in intermediate classes and he is thriving! I have learned so much as well! Being able to effectively communicate has made the world of difference! We are both happier and he doesn’t have naughty behaviors anymore! He’s becoming an angel at loose leash walking, his manners with greeting new humans and new animals have greatly improved, and we’ve learned some fun tricks too! I will take as many classes as she offers because I just can’t get enough of the bond it’s created between my pup and I! Thank you thank you! I recommend Klug K9 training to everyone I know!!

Absolutely love Nikki and the classes that she instructs. I've taken several of her classes and plan on taking more! She's very knowledgeable, kind, and professional. Taking her classes have taught me how to be a much more effective handler with my high drive beast. It made a world of difference and opened my eyes to the best practices when handling my dog. I get a lot of compliments on my dogs behavior now and it's all because of taking Nikki's classes.

First off, let me say that I think Nikki is a great person and what she does with her clients is a wonderful thing! Second, it's never a bad thing to ask for help. I think taking my dogs to Klug K9 Training is the single best thing I have done for them! I recommend her to everyone! ESPECIALLY her board and train program! I apologize in advance as this will be long but I have quite a bit of experience with her and can't say enough good things. I first found Nikki & Klug K9 Training in late 2018 for my dog Coal who was 5 years old at the time. He's a good dog but had a few things I wanted to work on. Even at 5 years old, she made a noticeable difference in his behavior that left an impression on us. Fast forward to us getting a 3 month old rescue puppy in November of 2020. We knew from the beginning we would take her to Klug K9 as she was a much different dog than our older one, not bad, just a lot more curious! GROUP TRAINING: We started off with a group training course which was a fantastic thing to do for a new pup! I highly recommend as it gets your dog around other dogs (it's a controlled situation, where the dogs stayed leashed and there is space in between) and the distractions where the training really shows through. I also like that she shows you what to do and then let's everyone do that with their dog and watches, helps when you ask or kindly corrects you, which I love because that's how you see results. I feel that in group classes some people fear being judged for being stern with their dog but thats exactly what she helps with when needing to do corrections, redirections, etc. so don't fear judgement from her or the group goers as they're there for the same reason you are. BOARD AND TRAIN: We put our at the time 1 year old pup Cleo through Nikki's 6 week boundaries board and train - this includes the e-collar & it's training. The reason I chose this was because we live rurally with lots of land, trees, and DEER. She would sight-chase the deer off the property and it was terrifying because we of course didn't want to lose her and didn't want her to get hurt. We also wanted to eventually have her trained well enough to be trusted with us outside without being on a lead constantly. We aren't at this point yet as she is still young but we are MILES ahead of where we were and we are constantly working on the training as we know (and you should know too) that it's not a one and done type of thing. This board and train LITERALLY changed our lives!! She's still the same goofy loveable girl but now actually LISTENS. It's amazing and truly the best thing we ever did. I recommend it to everyone when they compliment our dog's behavior because I'm honest and tell them that we did not (and frankly could not) do it alone. If you love your pets, put them through Klug K9 Training! Nothing beats having a well-behaved dog

Very professional and extremely knowledgeable, Nikki instructed me how correct my 7 year old Labs reactive behavior in a positive way as well as how to think ahead by watching for his "triggers" . I have recommended her to many of my friends and they have ALL had a positive experience. Thank you Nikki for everything, you're the BEST!
