FirstBarkKing K9 was a great investment for my family. Our dog Joy is doing great with the skills we learned. This program has allowed us more freedom and a better quality of life now that she is better trained. Josh is extremely knowledgeable and teaches in a simple straight forward style today is easy to follow. I recommend this service for anyone with a dog.

King K9 Academy offers board and train programs on a 15-acre working farm in Richmond, Maine. Every dog is personally trained by Joshua Antell , one trainer, four dogs max, over 20 years of experience. Programs include The Puppy Head Start (1 week, ages 3–6 months), The Complete Program (3 weeks, off-leash obedience and behavior modification, 6 months+), and The Cornerstone Program (on-leash training). Finding Joshua was the best thing that ever happened to Enzo (and us). When we started training, Enzo was a very reactive puppy, basically would lunge and bark to any stranger or kiddos and had A LOT of leash reactivity to other dogs. Fast forward to now, Enzo is a completely different dog. Training along side Joshua taught my husband and I so much about Enzo’s personality and what he needed from us to feel safe and more confident. Enzo is now best friends with the kids in our neighborhood. He can interact with strangers with ease and is fantastic and so obedient on a leash. We will always be grateful to Joshua for helping us give Enzo a better life!
What a great experience! Josh transformed our Chocolate Lab from a loving but unresponsive girl to a model citizen. She is still very much fun loving but all the bad habits are gone. We can take her places and not have to worry. Josh is very patient and definitely knows what he is doing. Highly recommended!!!
What a game changer it was bringing my pup in for training! I was so discouraged and struggling to train my dog until I started lessons with Josh. Now my dog is fantastic and I have so much confidence bringing him with me anywhere! Highly recommend!!
