Kindred Spirits Canine Education Center

I highly recommend Kindred Spirits Education Center. A few weeks ago, my maltipoo puppy Poppy and I completed the 6-week puppy class, and the experience exceeded my expectations. The socialization opportunities provided during the program helped transform Poppy from a shy little girl around the other puppies into an interactive, and playful companion. It was truly heartwarming to watch Poppy and her classmates grow and develop week after week. Kate, Karin, and the entire team of assistants create a positive, supportive learning environment and have an exceptional teaching approach. Their passion for helping dogs and their owners succeed is evident, and it is clear that they genuinely care about every dog in their program. I was referred to Kindred Spirits by a friend who had enrolled several of her dogs there, and I am so grateful we decided to attend. Poppy and I will soon be starting the Basic Obedience program, and with Kate’s guidance, I am confident Poppy is on the right path to becoming a well-mannered and wonderful dog.

We adopted a 7-month-old, 45-pound Husky mix, and after my wife was pulled to the ground while walking her, we knew it was time to get some professional training. After reviewing all of the referrals provided by SPOT Rescue, we chose Kindred Spirits, and we’re so glad we did. The experience was absolutely worth it. They didn’t just train our teenage pup—they taught us how to work with her, communicate with her, and reinforce the right behaviors at home. Each week, we were given homework that helped us practice what we learned and prepare for the next class. In just six weeks, we’ve seen a huge difference in her behavior and in our confidence handling her. The best part is that they gave us the tools and knowledge to continue working with her long after the classes ended. We would highly recommend Kindred Spirits to anyone looking for dog training that really involves and educates the owners, too. Look at the eye contact.

My unruly puppy and I made great strides with the Basic Obedience class led by Kate. Kate (and Karin as support) are a fantastic team. Everything shared, even time observing 1-1 with the other classpups was informative. The follow up emails after each class are a great summary of the learnings and reminders of how to keep the training ongoing at home. And I will always think of you when I say "Oh Dear" and "Yip"!
